Tell us a little about yourself.
My name is Lauren, and I’m a 26-year-old Marylander with a dog, a blog, and a reality TV addiction.

How did your shop come about?
I had been buying on Etsy for about a year when it occurred to me that I should open my own shop. I started off making a lot of jewelry, but after a couple months I began decoupaging ceramic tiles and selling them as coaster sets. The coasters gradually became the main focus of my shop, because they are fun to make, and I enjoy searching for different papers to use.

What has been the most rewarding part of opening your shop?

Because I spend my days at work writing and editing technical documents, I like being able to come home and use the right side of my brain at least a little before I turn on the latest Real Housewives episode and stop using BOTH sides of my brain for the day.

What is your favorite item?
I love my “Blackberries” coaster set. The design is pretty and modern, and black-and-white is one of my favorite color combos.

Name three favorite Etsy shops.
Wow–I have exactly 413 shops in my Favorite Sellers list right now, which is a little ridiculous. Picking three is going to be tough.

I’ll start with my sister Kelly (luvliek.etsy.com). She does graphic design and digital art. It’s good having another Etsy addict in the family, because I get awesome presents for Christmas and my birthday!

Shower Treat Soap (showertreatsoap.etsy.com) is another favorite. If you have sensitive skin or eczema (and even if you don’t!), you NEED to try her Goatmeal soap.

Lastly, my dog Pancake loves his collar and leash set from The Mod Dog (themoddog.etsy.com)! He has this dinosaur design.
