Holiday LOFT shopping party? I’m in!

If you were to look into my closet, you would probably see a lot of black and gray. Their might be a few pops of color thrown in there to keep things a little interesting. Maybe I think it’s most flattering or maybe I’m just boring. But yes, that’s pretty much it.

A couple months ago I wrote about trying to incorporate a little more color and variety into my wardrobe. When I was given the opportunity to attend a shopping party at LOFT, I decided why not? Time to make good on that statement about being a little more adventurous with my clothing.

I’ve never shopped at LOFT before but upon first walking in they immediately had me hooked based on the colors palate alone. I’m a big fan of dark pinks and purples and they appear to be “in” right now. Talk about a good first impression.

I met a few of the team members while waiting for my stylist and photographer to get back from their break. Yes, I had a stylist and photographer for my visit to LOFT. Yes, they were AMAZING and yes, I was pretty awkward in front of the camera (but anyone who knows me would know that). But regardless of that, having someone bring you into a new store and pull looks for you was probably the most awesome experience ever. Especially when all the options were reasonably priced and super stylish!

So we pulled together three different looks: Perfect Party Outfit, Office-to-Party and Casual Holiday.

First we have Office-to-Party. I loved the accessories we used in this outfit. We wrapped a sparkly, metallic necklace around my wrist a bunch of times and this fabulous studded and jeweled belt (you can’t see the belt too well in the photos so you’ll just have to trust me). The dress was great because it had pockets and well, who doesn’t love dresses with pockets?

Next up is Holiday Casual. I never have been much of a floral kind of girl but I loved this look. The top is super cute. I’m thinking I might have to go back and snatch it up. Also, that scarf. I loved the scarf. Other tips given that day- use the scarf as a headband or belt!

And finally, the Perfect Party Outfit. I lovelovelove the color of this dress. We paired it with some brown tights. Brown and fuchsia is totally something I never would have put together myself but it totally worked! And? It’s the perfect dress for a New Years Eve celebration.

In addition to meeting with a stylist, I was also given a $200 gift card. So with that and the rockin’ sale they had going on, I managed to score myself the fuchsia dress, tights, a pair of black booties I wore with a lot of the outfits I tried on, a cardigan and a top. A total shopping win. I’ll most definitely be back for a lot of the accessories I tried on and a few other pieces I seen in store.

Mainly I love their sweaters, especially now that’s in winter, but they have so many nice tops that go dressy at work and casual on the weekends, which is perfect for me. I shop at Loft all.the.time. Seriously, it’s dangerous in there. Their stuff is great for going from work to dinner or work to a party. It’s the store I started shopping at as a “grown up professional”. And FYI, their curvy jeans are the best for those of us who aren’t sticks!

I love pretty much everything at the Loft. When I had to buy clothes to go back to work after maternity leave, Loft is the ONLY place I was able to find stuff that 1)fit, and 2) made me look good, so I love just about every look they have going right now!

I love Loft! I buy almost all my clothes from there. It is perfect for young professionals on a budget! I really love the dress you tried on, but if I was going to pick one dress for me I think I would go with the Chiffon Ruffle Front Dress!

I like the LOFT’s Petal Detail V-Neck Cardigan in Violet Stone and Sandy Brown Melange. It’s a great spin on the traditional cardigan. I think it’s appropriate for the office and with jeans.

LOFT is my favorite store by far. Definitely the majority of my wardrobe is from there, but I haven’t done much shopping this season, so I could really use the extra $200.

Loft is one of my favorite go-to stores. I feel comfortable there; the sales gals are always useful, I can get what I need at reasonable prices, the clothes are quality, cute, casual and professional all at the same time. How can you go wrong with a store like this!?

I can’t believe you had never shopped there before. I adore Ann Taylor Loft. The clothes are perfect for work, for me anyway, because they’re dressy enough, yet not over the top as you might find other places.

I love the perfect party dress on you!

For me, I like LOFT’s tops. The Animal Print Ikat Top is really cute and can be paired with a skirt (maybe their Corduroy Skirt, if the black of the skirt isn’t too dark) or with jeans. My favorite LOFT jeans are the Garment Dye Modern Boot Leg Jeans and the Modern Slim Distressed Jeans.

Love the looks! Especially the first one. Tres chic. My favorite from the website is probably the one they put together with the teal shirt, skinny belt, and gray trousers. So perfect for a night out or work.
