When I received an email from BlogHer asking me if I wanted to review something, I thought awesome. Then when they said it was chocolate, I said, “Seriously? Is that a question you even have to ask?!” THEN they were like you’ll be reviewing M&M’s but not just any M&M’s, they are M&M’s Premiums.

Then I died.
Because really, you want to send me chocolate and ask me to blog about it?
I’ll sell my soul for just plain peanut M&M’s and these are rich, creamy and are prettier. No really, they are like glittery and shiny. Almost too pretty to eat but then you’re like seriously, pretty or not, I’m not about to let M&M’s go to waste especially if they are Raspberry Almond ones! (those were seriously the best ones ever)
I also had to think of a question for a contest so I can hook one of YOU up with this awesome package.

What’s in it you ask? Well, let me tell you!
1 carton of M&M’S® Premiums Raspberry Almond
1 carton of M&M’S® Premiums Chocolate Almond
1 carton of M&M’S® Premiums Mocha
1 carton of M&M’S® Premiums Triple Chocolate
4 M&M’S® Brand Martini Glasses
1 pack of M&M’S® Premiums Wine Charms
Chocolate, martini glasses and wine charms? The theme of my contest was clear now. What do these things all seem perfect for?
Girls’ Night!
Personally, when I hang out with my BFF we go for a yummy meal, drink some fruity drinks and pop in some dvds. Last time, it was Friends because how can anyone resist 80 hours of laughs?

Me and the girls would probably go for midnight mani’s and pedi’s!
By Matt on 02.16.09 4:03 pm | Permalink
I’m mom to a toddler, so don’t have too many girls’ nights these days. I am, however, DESPERATE for a night out DANCING with the girls. I am a terrible dancer, but always have so much fun… it’s just something my husband does not do, however, so it has to be a girlfriend thing.
By Christina on 02.16.09 4:13 pm | Permalink
Yum! We get thai food, watch something shamelessly girly (last time it was Made of Honor) and then spend hours talking about boys. Yeah, we’re total cliches.
By Gretchen on 02.16.09 4:16 pm | Permalink
Ok. I always enter these contest but never win. However I’m still going to give this one a try.
Usually my friends and I will get all dolled up, go out to a restaurant for some scrumptious food and then off for some drinks at a lounge/bar. Or sometimes we just skip the food all together and go for the drinks straight off. We’re classy like that!
By Marie on 02.16.09 4:18 pm | Permalink
Ooh chocolate! I have a lot of girls nights that involve going out to dinner and then drinks afterwards, but I really miss having sleepovers and I would definitely love to do that again sometime! A bottle (or a few bottles) of wine, pajamas, snacks, movies and my best girlfriends sounds SO good right now!
By Arielle on 02.16.09 4:19 pm | Permalink
Dinner and drinks – either a crazy out on the town or a laid back night at home – we always have a blast!
By Erin on 02.16.09 4:29 pm | Permalink
Girls night is always fun when it involves a yummy dinner and cocktails and/or plenty of vino!
By Maris on 02.16.09 5:21 pm | Permalink
Ideal night would start with the day… shopping, then mani/pedis, then dinner at some random exotic restaurant, then a chick flick, then overly fancy martinis and dessert. How excessive is that?!
By Princess Pointful on 02.16.09 5:24 pm | Permalink
Drinks and many rented movies that we’ve all already seen before so it’s no biggie when we end up talking through the whole movie. Sigh. I love girls night.

My ideal girls’ night would be yummy food, great drinks, and lots of laughs.. Really I mean it doesn’t get any better than that!

A great girls night involves drinks, movies, snacks and laughs. Or if we go out, dinner and drinks with laughs and hugs goodnight required.
By Jessica on 02.16.09 5:31 pm | Permalink
our girls nights always include wine. and food. and dessert. sometimes a movie, sometimes a game. they also include reminiscing about some other girls night/event and laughing our butts off. i love my girlfriends. i’m so blessed!
By Amy on 02.16.09 5:41 pm | Permalink
Lets see… funny movie marathon, cheap wine, fatty foods. That combo could make any night perfect.
By Maxie on 02.16.09 5:44 pm | Permalink
My ideal girls’ night would be going out for drinks and a yummy dinner … or maybe just staying in and sharing pizza, watching ’80s movies and just hanging out.
By sarah marie p on 02.16.09 5:45 pm | Permalink
My perfect Girls’ Night:
1) Steak & Martini dinner (because my girlfriends are obsessed with Mad Men).
2) Chocolate Cake (we’re not picky, it could be a box of Duncan Hines)
3) Watching episodes of The Office until we almost die laughing. Almost.
The End.
By Lindsay on 02.16.09 5:47 pm | Permalink
Ideal girls night = making dinner in someone’s kitchen, having a bottle or two of wine and laughing a lot together. Or, if we are going out on the town…dinner at a great thai place, fancy drinks and dancing.
By Sassy Molassy on 02.16.09 5:49 pm | Permalink
buffalo chicken dip + movie(that we may or may not pay attention to) + big comfy blankets + jug o’ wine + sleepover (so no one drives home after the wine)= awesome girls night!
By Kt on 02.16.09 5:57 pm | Permalink
Ideally, we gather at somebody’s house so that nobody ends up drinking and driving. Food will all be home made, either by me, or in potluck fashion.
And then we’d sit around playing games, watching movies and drinking until we pass out. And what that really means is that I try to focus everybody on the game at hand, while we all chat about bloggers, work, cute guys, assholes and the like. I’ll also watch everyone else get drunk because I’m the weirdo who just doesn’t get down that way.
I know.
Sad.
But maybe not really?
Either way – the night will be perfection. Whether I’m drunk or not.

For girls nights, we go to our favorite psychic, and then grab dinner together after to gossip about how on (or off!) the psychic was in addition to many other gossip-worthy subjects
By A Super Girl on 02.16.09 6:11 pm | Permalink
My friends and I are so stereotypical….we’re all about Sex and the City, brownies, and wine. We’ve seen them all, some multiple times. Its a little sad lol. But who cares! That’s what girls night is for!
By Belle on 02.16.09 6:20 pm | Permalink
It begins with me greeting Jamie at the door with a lovely rendition of “Jamie” by Weezer. I’d jazz it up with a couple references to M&Ms and iPhones. I’d follow that up with a sing-a-long to Grease 2. In particular “A Girl For All Seasons.” Then we’d giggle uncontrollably as we watched 80 hours of laughs (Friends. All seasons. On DVD. Be jealous.) Then we would sit on opposite ends of my boat (aka the couch) and Twitter back and forth about the proper way to pronounce “coupon.” Is it cue-pon or cu-pon. You tell me! We’d wrap up the night with another sing-a-long, perhaps The Little Mermaid, I don’t know, we’re living on the edge folks! And in case we had a bit more energy after all that singing, we’d sail away on my boat (aka the couch) and discuss future plans of woo’ing Mickey Mouse and taking over the castle.
By Jenn on 02.16.09 6:24 pm | Permalink
My best friends and I stay in the dorm, watch our favorite movies/guilty pleasures (i.e. Clueless, seasons of the O.C., etc) and order pizza. Those are my favorite kinds of nights.
By Brittany on 02.16.09 7:38 pm | Permalink
I’ve got two kids, 3 and almost 1, so a pretty great idea that my mom friends and I have is dessert and wine night. We sit around trying not to talk about the kids, and actually have uninterrupted conversations, maybe play a board game, and eat chocolate and drink wine, or even better Damiana Liqueur chased with Henry Weinhard’s orange cream soda. (Later is the “pump and dump”. If you have a baby, you know what that means.)

Let’s see….I have 6 kids total but, 4 at home. So I really need a girls night out. Ideally a perfect GNO would include a trip to the spa for facials and a massage.Perhaps a manicure. Then shopping and dinner. Nothing expensive just nice. Then on to a great chick flick and off for a fab dessert kind of thing—something chocolate and yummy! Oh my gosh, I’m getting crazy just thinking about it!
By Kimberley Kelley on 02.16.09 9:10 pm | Permalink
Girls’ night always includes lots of good food and delicious ‘adult beverages’. We usually cook the main course at the hostess’ home and everyone else brings the rest. We only let the menfolk around if it’s to serve our wishes (ie he starts the bonfire for us to sit around and then he becomes scarce). At the end of summer we get together to make an enourmous batch of pesto to divvy up and take home. Yummy!
By Amy on 02.16.09 9:10 pm | Permalink
Our girls’ nights consist of my 11 girlfriends and me playing bunco every other month at one of our homes. We nosh, drink wine and other beverages, gossip, argue, play a great game, and most of all LAUGH. I wouldn’t trade these nights for anything!
By Cindy on 02.16.09 9:42 pm | Permalink
I actually have a girlfriend coming in from out of town to forget her useless soon to be ex-bf.
So far we have mani-pedis, walking down to the local dive bar and laughing with the old men and then watching dvds and ordering take out.
By Mel on 02.16.09 10:18 pm | Permalink
When my girls and I get together, we do a cooking night with a different theme at least once a month. We make a menu and each girl makes one dish. Not only does this help us with our cooking skills and allows us to expand our culinary taste but allows us to hang out and have a great time!
By Cynthia on 02.16.09 10:19 pm | Permalink
I would have to agree that a movie marathon would be the way to go for our girls night in. But I would have to take us back to those flicks that made us giggle and blush in our youth. Our list would include: The Breakfast Club, Dark Crystal, Dirty Dancing, The Goonies and Fast times at Ridgemont High. Corn Chips and dip, Long Island Ice tea’s.
By Emma on 02.16.09 10:33 pm | Permalink
Mine is when the girls and I give each other facials, manis and pedis, massages and generally have our own little spa going. It’s really relaxing and fun. We call it, “Ovaries Night.”

The perfect night out for me and my girls is to ditch the hubbies. Anything after that is smooth sailing-Chinese is a must! Chinese restaurants have the tastiest cocktails, and the food is good, too. After that, it is a night of dancing at the clubs and a taxi ride home!

My ideal girls’ night…
*Roll-your-own-sushi (my roommate and I do this all the time– so good and way cheaper than going out for it)
*Chick flick
*Ice cream
*Foot pampering stuff available so people who want to can give themselves pedis.

I would meet up with girlfriends for a movie, then dinner afterwards where we could sit for hours just talking and catching up. If there’s time, we go for a little shopping or go into Starbucks a little sweet treat to finish the night off!!

Whenever my best friend is in town, we usually go to a restaurant (usually Mexican) then stay up until all hours after my hubby goes to sleep and catch up on all the news, etc. We might even watch a movie if we are in the mood.
By Pam on 02.17.09 1:37 am | Permalink
For me and my gals a perfect girls night starts out at our favorite Mexican place called Taco Loco. We chow down on chips and salsa and the MOST DELICIOUS lobster tacos ever as well as sucking down some to-die-for margaritas. After that it’s back to the single girl’s house for pj’s, more cocktails and mindless tv. ALWAYS a good night.

My BFF and I used to live within doors of each other and would walk 2 miles every night together, and did all our grocery shopping, errands, etc. But then I moved 50 miles away, so now we get together twice a year on our birthdays for a night out together. She works at a local theatre so she gets free tickets to a movie we both want to see. On my birthday she treats me to dinner at a restaurant, usually Denny’s or IHOP, and vice versa on her birthday. We missed our October get together because she had to have gall bladder surgery so we are hoping to get together again soon. She’s visually impaired so we often finish off the night by going grocery shopping so she can stock up on a few things. Her regular means of transportation only allow 3 bags at a time.

I agree girl’s do need a night out, but the last time several of my friends got together it actually ended up being a night in. We did a “older” girl slumber party at one of the girl’s houses. No husbands, no kids, no pets to worry about. Of course we had all the staples, take-out dinner, couple bottles of wine and one of the most important being chocolate! It was such a blast we’ve said that we should plan to it again and or make it an annual thing.

It would be a repeat of our First Girls Night Out (GNO) a few years ago where we started at one girl’s house, each were given a painted wine glass all cutesy and girlie, we drank way too much wine and beer, ate all the good stuff we could munch on, all while listening to a homemade mix of girlie music. Then decided to hit the dance club for a loooong night of dancin’ with just the girls! Then, one of our spouses came and picked all of these drunk girls up to get us home safely. It was too much fun!

Since my Grandpa passed away, my favorite girls night out consists of my 2 closest girlfriends being my mom & my Grandma. We love to just go out of town, go out to dinner together, visit, and do a little shopping. We never have to spend much money or buy lots of items…it’s just enjoying our special time together. Knowing that these times will not be able to go on forever makes them extra special to me…it’s not what you get or where you are…it’s who you are with that matters most.

Right now my daughter and I do girls nights out which include shopping, movies (girly ones, that might include say Zac Efron), then we come home “pig out” on chocolate or popcorn (sometimes both) and go uber girly and watch American Idol or some chick flick like Legally Blonde or 13 going on 30.

I have a quarterly girls night out that is my favorite of all the evenings out I do. We go to a new restaurant that none of us have been to before — chosen somewhat on food but even more so based on the fun drinks menu. I take the train down to the city, which means quiet time AND reading for me, and we spend the next three plus hours talking and laughing and enjoying ourselves. We’ve got many rules behind it — all of which are for fun and silly like we can’t talk about the next dinner until a particular member of our group has announced the appropriate equinox/solstice has occurred. It’s a great group of women and never fails to leave me in a bubbly mood.
It would be even better if I could share good chocolate with them while walking from the train to the restaurant next time….

I haven’t had a girls night out in FOREVER. I could really use one right about now. It’d probably involved taking lots of silly pictures, watching a funny movie or making fun of an extremely girly movie, and catching up on life. Girls nights are filled with lots of laughter and love, desserts and drinks, friends and fun.

Honestly, the best girls night we ever had was when we all drove up to Santa Barbara for the weekend! Well, really it was Saturday morning till Sunday afternoon, does that count? Talk about fun.
Once we arrived, there was a van at our hotel waiting to ferry us to all the wineries. It was Fab! EVERYONE got to enjoy themselves. We had a picnic lunch…tons of wine and chatting about husbands, kids, jobs etc. It was super relaxing being outdoors without a child clawing at your legs….
No dinners to make
No kids to feed
And we all had a night on the town after we finished with the wineries…a great dinner, more wine and staying out till the wee hours of the night.

Hum, late night with the girls? I think we’d go to a midnight showing of some new movie, then we’d head to Walmart for some late night no-really-shopping-for-anything-in-general-just-don’t-want-to-go-home-yet-shopping. Then when we were done with that, we’d either go back to my place to gab a bit or call it night. Boring? Maybe. Fun? Oh heck yeah.

Girls Night is by far the best night ever. And I’m a lucky duck, so I usually get one about once a week. yay! We’ll usually grab a quick bite to eat, then sit at home and watch a movie while drinking a couple cocktails like Cosmos or Mango Margaritas. Then we head up to our favorite bar (they know us there, lol) to have “a drink.” Which undoubtedly leads to 10. Which leads to a crazy dance party and then to us singing Katy Perry at the top of our lungs at 4 am. I love girls night.

Wow, lots of entries!
Girls night for me every week is five of us girls coming up with a new recipe to try, then each of us bringing a few of the ingredients and cooking it together. Cooking with five girls? A blast! Then, we sit down with our glass of wine and watch the Bachelor and Gossip Girl (the Hills, as well, when it is on). Afterwards we clean up together and talk and laugh some more. Perfect Monday night start to a week.

My best friend and I like to start our girls night with an early sushi dinner at our favourite sushi place. We split an entree and try a new kind of sushi roll every time. Then, because we’re also room mates, we’ll go shopping to find some cool stuff for the house and get our “retail therapy.” Finally, we head to a local “hole in the wall” bar for cocktails or bubbles and plan our next home decorating project or dinner for the next week’s “thursday night open house” dinner.

Not too many girls’ nights here – too many small children and not enough time! But the last one we did was great – we went out to the ballet (the Nutcracker, as it happened), then to dinner at a wonderful Italian restaurant. With wine, yet. Very grown-up!

Seems to be a theme here. Anyway, when ‘the girls’ go out, it is dinner at a nice sit-down restaurant (NOT inside MacDonalds) and go to a movie at a theater. DVDs at home I can watch anytime!

OK. Here’s mine. I’m a 49 year old mom to a 9 year old. My sister and best friend is 48 with a 10 year old and a 5 year old. Here’s our girl’s night. Miraculously we get the kids to bed early. Chinese food has been ordered in. Bottle of wine is open and breathing. We’ve got a movie line up and we’re ready to go. Dark chocolate is on the counter and ready for dessert. We look at each other and are so deliriously happy about the alone time together we give each other a hug and start to laugh. We can’t stop laughing. And we laugh until we cry. Finally we stop crying, pour a glass of wine and spend the rest of the evening chatting, watching, eating and laughing our heads off in the joy of spending some adult and very girl time together. Hope I win…I ALWAYS need the chocolate!!

Dinner & drinks, dinner and shopping, out to the movies or hanging (without kids) at someone’s house and doing highlights or party planning. My girls night out depends on what night of the week it is. If it’s a Wed., it’s “Ladie’s Night” at a local place called Bracco. They have 1/2 price drinks all night. However, it being a “school night…I’m a teacher” we each have 1-2 drinks and head home. If it’s a Fri., we’re all beat, so we just go out to eat and maybe to someone’s house for a movie or whatever. Saturday’s…pretty much the same thing as Friday, but once and awile we’ll make a pitcher of Margaritas or something fun…girly! We’re all pretty laid back and enjoy it that way! All in all, we love to spend time together NO MATTER what it is we do!
Thanks for this awesome giveaway! I love it!

A girl’s night for this group of mommies has to be OUT. Because how often does that happen? It has to involve a lovely DINNER, fruity MARTINI’S, and a movie on the BIG SCREEN. Since Daddy is babysitting, and all. The best movie out right now – for a Mom’s night out – is “He’s just not that into you”. And of course a large pack of M & M’s to share completes the evening.

Once assembled though, my favorite girls’ nights are those when we go out for (real!!) mexican food, drink too many margaritas, then take the party back to someone’s house for “movie watching”… which really means sitting around talking until 4am because OMG WE DON’T DO THIS OFTEN ENOUGH.

What a delicious giveaway! Okay, an ideal night out with the girlfriends… this will take some serious thought because it’s an important matter.
First thing that’s necessary is good food. That could sometimes be a restaurant and other times calling out for pizza or Chinese. I like setting up things like taco bars, too.
Then a movie at home or in the theater would be great. If not a movie, I like to shop or at least window shop. Food, good friends, and laughter… those are the three most important ingredients to the best girls’ nights out ever.

Me and three of my girlfriends have created a monthly event we call “GNO” or “Girls’ Night Out”. It’s mainly to meet the needs of one of the women who has 4 children. We have made a promise to her to have at least one night out with her per month where she can get out without her children. Someone either hosts a dinner and drinks at their home or we go out for dinner and drinks. There is usually a theme. This month, I’m hosting martinis and making recipes from old cookbooks from the 50’s. “A Mad Men Night” for GNO….

My ideal night out with girlfriends is to get dressed up to the nines!, all of us, and go to as many dance clubs as possible and dance and dance and dance, then eat at a 24-hour restaurant and talk and talk and talk until all hours about everything under the sun, and then have ALL of us be able to go home and sleep in until we’re ready to wake up, no matter how late that is! As we grow older this becomes harder and harder for all of us to accomplish, but when we were younger it was absolutely easy!

My favorite “girls” event is our annual stay at a local state park cabin. Okay, so it’s an overnight and not just a night out, but we’re pretty wordy so it requires a slumber party! Spend the day hiking and enjoying the park, back to the cabin for an enormous potluck, then spend the evening talking, playing board games, noshing on even more food–most importantly CHOCOLATE–doing each other’s nails in outrageous colors, and listening to whatever music has been brought along. Waking up many hours later to birdsong and lake views and fresh coffee. Can’t think of a better way to spend quality time with my best babes.
By Sue on 02.21.09 2:07 pm | Permalink
My idea of a perfect girls night out is exactly this; me and 3 of my closest friends would get together in the early afternoon on a saturday. We’d go for pampering ourselves and shopping for a new outfit to ware out that evening. Then we would go to the market and shop individually for our favorite mexican dish. We would all go back to my place and each fix our favorite dish, as to have a variety, while drinking our strawberry margaritas, to get us in the mood for the night to come. All the while we would be talking about our lives as they were, the good and bad, that’s what friends are for. As we venture out for our “girls night out”, who knows where we would go or even end up at the end of the night, but we will have fun whatever the case may be and always remember that day we shared as friends!
By Diana on 02.21.09 2:25 pm | Permalink
A movie, preferably a chick-flick (Mamma Mia was our last choice so we’re due to go out again) and dinner out (always nice when someone else does the cooking!)
By Sandy M on 02.21.09 2:35 pm | Permalink
My perfect girls night out is a nice dinner (not too expensive) with the girls and then back to someone’s house for games. We love to play board games & card games. We try to avoid the movies or anywhere we have to be quiet because we all have small children & we love being able to have adult conversation and not having be quiet the whole time we are out for girls night out!

I belong to the Divas Hash House Harriers, which is a drinking club with a running problem. An email is sent out telling everyone where to meet, which is usually a parking lot somewhere near the hostesses home. The hostess aka harriet leaves on foot and lays a trail of flour and chalk. After a 15 minute head start, the divas pack takes off and follows the trail, with the goal of catching the harriet. The harriet leaves bad trails, decision points, and whatever she can to keep from getting caught. About 3/4’s of they way, there is a champagne and chocolate check point, where everyone stops for a drink and some yummy chocoloate… and then the harriet takes off again. At the end, everyone is transported back to the cars, and they head over to the harriet’s house for a pot luck, drinks, and more chocolate. Not everyone is a runner, so people run and walk. The trails are about 3 miles long and go through neighborhoods, or whereever the trails take you. The group consists of women of all ages and walks of life… and it is always a good time.

My girlfriends and I all used to work in the same building together, but they have since divided up our departments and moved us all to different buildings. Needless to say, we don’t get to see each other as often anymore. Our most favorite thing to do, when the stars and planets are aligned and we can all find time to meet, is to go out on a Friday night. We meet at the Elephant Bar, share appetizers, and try new flavored martinis. We talk, catch up, and laugh. We have the best time! When the evening is over, we reluctantly go our separate ways. Wondering, wistfully, when the next planetary alignment will be, so we can do it all over again!

Since I am a Mom of two and so are most of my girlfriends we usually do Mom’s Nights In.
We love to watch LOST. So one of our faves involved watching LOST and having LOST themed snacks…
Airplane peanuts were a snack as were the tiny bottles of booze
I made cupcakes with my son’s airplanes crashed into the icing and palm trees stuck in them. I scattered luggage and clothes around the room. We ate Mr. Cluck’s Fried Chicken, I labeled a large bottle of whiskey as MacCuthcheon’s, and put Dharma logos on some of my bottles and boxes…It was so fun!!!
Another good night out is a Chocolate fondue…we dip marshmallows, strawberries, bananas, oreos, anything, really!!! LOL

OOO. I just saw the commercial for those and thought they sounded AMAZING.
My ideal girls night involves getting dressed up, dinner and drinks at cheesecake factory, and then some ridiculously amazing chick flick that none of our significant others would sit through without complaining. Then we’d head downtown to shake our moneymakers and make fun of the drunken men that try to hit on us. We’d get them to buy all of our drinks, then pretend to be lesbians just to get them to leave us alone (and drive them crazy)
Oh, and then Justin Timberlake, who just happened to be in town, would see us and be so mesmerized that he would personally invite us up to his VIP area to party with him. We’d all giggle and take iphone pictures to upload to twitter.

One of my friends gets annoyed because each and every time she has to re-explain the rules to the games we play….I guess we have a few too many of those drinks, but we sure do have a lot of laughs. THanks for the giveaway…would love to brink these yummy treats to our next ladies night!
