dear santa

Hi.

It’s me again. It’s that time of year again and I’m sure you’re completely overrun by letters from greedy little jerk faces begging for the coolest new toys but I promise you that’s not what this is.

Okay, maybe it is a wish list but I swear I’m not a greedy little jerk face. I’m actually pretty neat.

(also, why don’t more people say neat? I’ve been using it to describe everything lately)

First on my list is a biggie, an iMac. Imagine, Santa, next year I could be writing to from one of these gorgeous pieces of machinery. Wouldn’t that just benefit everyone? I think so!

Next up, Etsy. Oh Etsy, my one true weakness in life. I could seriously get lost for days in that site. Pretty things and supporting independent artists? I don’t think it gets better than that. Pretty much anything from Softspoken or Local Library would complete me right now. Long necklaces, slouchy berets and scarves are staples here at the House of Lovely.

And I doubt this next one is a surprise to anyone, since I NEVER SHUT UP ABOUT HER. And it all sold out pretty quick. I just want to see Lady Gaga come January at the Chicago Theater. This will be the second time around that I’ve missed her and I’m kind of hating my life because of it.

Lastly, with the new year coming and all, do you think you could tell the Universe to go easy on me? 2009 wasn’t a very good year for me in more ways than one. I could use a little break from it kicking my ass all over Chicago. I promise to work hard and do everything I should, just ease up a bit? No family drama, illness, heartbreak or anything of that sort, please? Keep my dad healthy, help me make peace with my body and let me continue on the right path career and education wise. Any more roadblocks and I just might break. If you could pass that along, Santa, you would pretty much be the coolest dude ever.

xoxo,

Jamie Lovely

P.S. If you’re feeling extra generous, I definitely wouldn’t say no to having a hair stylist at my beck and call? I think a blow out every day might improve the well being of everyone I come in contact with. Plus, my hair would be absolutely fabulous ALL THE TIME. Clearly, this is a win for everyone.

P.P.S. Or maybe RPattz? Please?

P.P.P.S. No, seriously. Hair stylist? Pretty please?

P.P.P.P.S. Twitter? Holler.

birthday wishlist

Friday will be the 4th anniversary of my 21st birthday. Exciting, right?

Not really but I’m planning on being too drunk to notice how old I actually am.

Anyway, what’s a birthday without a wish list?

- cupcakes from Swirlz. Red velvet, please!
- another set of recycled wine bottle glasses and set of the tall tumblers (both clear) from Rewined Recycled Glassware
- I would like the possible new career opportunity I have to come together nicely (more on that soon…maybe)
- an iMac
- some really great mac and cheese
- a WiiFit
- to travel out of the country
- money to grow on tree to fund me and my jet set life.
- a work appropriate wardrobe from J.Crew and Banana Republic for the possible new career opportunity.
- a personal trainer to yell at me for eating birthday treats and so I will have the needed motivation to lose 5 million pounds (as if being fat isn’t enough) to look hot in my new wardrobe.
- and as always pretty much everything on Oh How Lovely Shops!

Feel free to spoil me on my birthday because I’m getting old, dear blog friends.

Christmas wishlist

I decided to take part in the 20SB December Blog Carnival. The theme was wish lists and one of the options was five items you would like, one for each sense and I’m all about a well rounded Christmas gifting experience so I figured I’d give it a go!

Taste:

Basically, I’d want to be able to eat these cookies all day, every day and not get fat. They are the best cookies I’ve ever had in my life and are about the size of a DVD. Snickers, walnuts and chocolate chip. Pretty much heaven in cookie form.

Smell:

The smell of a new handbag might be the most intoxicating scent in the world. I swear when I first got my Marc Jacobs bag, I could not stop smelling it. Trust me, go buy yourself a nice handbag and you’ll see. So to get that scent I would love a Miu Miu Bow Bag. I’ve been harping over this bag for over a year. I swear I will buy it one day.

Touch:

Edward Cullen to become a real person so I can do naughty things to him. What? Shut up, you know you wish that too. Whatever, I’ll settle for RPattz. He’s fucking hot.

Hear:

I want a Jets to Brazil reunion album. I worship the ground Blake Schwarzenbach walks on and would kill someone to getthem back together for another album. Okay, maybe not kill someone because that’s not very Christmas-y but I would love them forever and bake you cupcakes on demand.

Sight:

I really, really want to go to see Britney Spears when she comes to Chicago in April. I’m not even kidding, I’d probably freak out if I got tickets. I love her and this video is so good. Seriously, I love her.

What’s on your Christmas list? Tangible or intangible wishes welcome!

wish list (part deux)

Since my birthday is Thursday, I am making a wish list. A “things I would buy if money fell into my lap or I found a sugar daddy list”. We all know I have expensive taste – wonderful taste, but expensive. You can tell from my first list, which can be found here.

Duh. Apple iPhone.

Since I can’t have one of those yet, I will have to buy one of these to dress up my year old (I’m out of date, people! Out of touch with phone technology!), scraped up Blackberry Pearl. In pink, because I’m obvious like that.

I’m desperately needing a black nice bag. I’m kind of loving the Marc by Marc Jacobs Dr. Q Hillier Hobo.

My newest favorite movie. Enchanted.

A pretty dress. This dress also comes in shades of blue, which is gorgeous but I couldn’t find a picture of. I’d be happy with either though. MbyMJ Meredith dress.

And finally, my number one (which is also on my previous wish list). I seen this bag in Neiman’s right before I went to La Vegas and was practically drooling and had to be dragged away.

Miu Miu Large Bow Tote

It’s only $1200.

*dies*

It will be mine though. One day. I don’t care if I have to eat crackers for months.

What is on your wish list?

home on a Saturday night

It’s snowing like mad outside. I’m stuck at home pretend shopping aka lusting over beautiful things I currently do not have money for. The boy will be djing some random bro frat boy yuppie bar that I refuse to go to, because it is full of douchebags. I’m writing out Christmas cards and watching The Devil Wears Prada for the 37,000th time.

Hey, want to see some dresses I bought for Las Vegas? Of course you do.

Unfortunately, I’m not as leggy and thin, but they will work out quite nicely. Especially, with my ridiculously sexy Chinese Laundry peep toes, as well as the two pairs of shoes I bought earlier this week. A girl’s gotta have options!

I well overdue for a hair cut. I will most likely be getting one this week, if I can gather up the strength to watch them butcher my lovely locks. I want to thank the wonderful Tia for her opinion and tips on a cut. She’s quite the fabulous hair stylist, if you didn’t know.

Also, since Damsel and Nicole were making me look bad, posting all their 100 Things in one sitting, I had to finish mine up!

Oh and last call if you want a Christmas card from me. jamie @ ohhowlovely . net (minus the spaces, duh)

______

Santa,

Please bring me: YSL or Prada sunglasses, Louboutin satin pumps or a Miu Miu Small Bow Tote.

I’ve been a very good girl.

Wish Lists

Since I am home feeling sick, when I should be out with my boyfriend, and there is no one to talk to on AIM, since they are all out enjoying their Saturday, I am making a wish list.

Things I Really Want (but most likely will not get anytime soon)

1. Miu Miu bow bag. Could this bag be anymore gorgeous? No, it couldn’t. I’m sorry, Louis, I may have found a new love.

2. Frye bootsTiff posted these last week and I fell in love. I kind of need them in my life.

3. A ring. I want a ring, it’s the only piece of nice jewelry I am lacking. I am loving these right now: a, b, c, d, e. I especially love the last one. Simple and pretty with a little bit of sparkle.

4. Lanvin boots. I have been lusting over these boots for months. Damn the $860.00 price tag.

5. Marc by Marc Jacobs Turnlock Wallet. Duh, I need a matching Stone wallet for my Stone Faridah bag.

6. Coat. I already have a coat, 2 actually, but I reallyreallyreally love this one.

7. Wristlet/clutch. I need a smaller bag for when I don’t want to lug around my big Marc. Something with some pop would be nice, like this Rose color. Or maybe a maroony/burgundy though, I need to look around.

Entertain me people! It’s 9:15 on a Saturday and I’m bored as hell.

What is on your wish list?
