- nail polish. I’m currently wearing Concord Grape by O.P.I.
- Icing on the Hair. I’m getting ready to order a headband and you better not order the one I want before I get to it. I’m not above shanking a bitch over hair accessories.
- chocolate and champagne first thing in the morning
- Jenn
- Glee parties
- Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close
- The Get Up Kids. I can’t stop listening to Something To Write Home About and On A Wire. No really, I can’t stop listening to them.
- those of you who voted for me to win Best Secondary Blog for Oh How Lovely Shops
- trying to plan interview outfits around a new pair of shoes (it didn’t work so I have to wear different shoes. LAME)
- my puppy who guards my room from my dad’s dog and chasing him away when he looks in here. EVERY TIME. It’s really hilarious.
- the internet because we managed to raise over $2,000 in 24 hours for www.loveharder.org. Go donate.
Send some good vibes my way today?
I could use them.

I could DEFINITELY go for some chocolate & champagne first thing in the morning.
Oh! If I end up coming to Chicago next weekend you’re the first person I’m contacting, btw.
And one more thing, congratulations on the win!

Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close actually made me cry. Which is rare. I haven’t cried while reading a book since I was 12 and read Charlotte’s Web.
But it’s beautiful.

The other night I had a dream that I was really upset (probably because I was in real life) and then someone played me an older Get Up Kids song I used to listen to ALL the time called Holiday and I felt instantly better

Good vibes coming your way, babe.
Shoes are the most important part of the outfit– trust.

Sending powerful good-interview-mojo vibes! (But not all of them because, dude, it’s been six months and I’m still unmemployed which is not cool, Boston!.) Also, dude, there are few trivial irritations quite as annoying as planning a whole outfit around one accessory then realizing the accessory is the only thing not working in the outfit. Boo!

Okay, so I can totally agree with loving and obsessing over nail polish. I got a manicure on Sunday (not sure what the color is called but it’s some kind of deep purple) and I can’t stop staring at my hands. They look so pretty and girly. Except now they are chipping. Boo.

When you can’t form the outfit around the shoes, that’s when you go buy a new outfit! Duh.
Good vibes en route! Knock ‘em dead

@Mary, I totally did. My outfit was new but the shoes plain black. This just means I’ll have to get ANOTHER new outfit to go with my other new shoes

*Good Vibes* *Good Vibes*
My newest nail polish obsession. Rimmel’s Deliciously Dark. It’s not black, so it doesn’t wash me out. It’s warm and rich. Kind of chocolaty red/purple. Love. It.
Loving on the internet right now, too. We can make such a HUGE difference by each doing something so small. It’s awesome. I don’t know Brandy well, as I just stumbled across her blog recently, but I love her passion. I never even knew about myeloma and it effects so many people.
P.S. That link to Love Harder doesn’t take you to the MMRF. Not sure why. Try this one: http://loveharder.org/

Hm… which hair accessory are you drooling on? I’m not ready to be shanked quite yet!
Also, congrats on the award AND I love the love harder idea. So fantastic! My friend Mandi is trying to raise money so she can go and help the children and orphans of the quake. If you want to help her out, you can visit her here: http://mandispeaks.blogspot.com/
Many very good vibes coming your way today!

I loved Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close. I thought it was incredibly (for lack of a better word) beautiful and painfully eloquent. I’ve never read anything like it. I’m not one to include links to myself in comments, but I’m a bit of a book snob so…if you’re interested, I wrote a bit about it last September. http://www.nicnarrates.com/2009/09/10/hope-is-the-thing-with-feathers/
P.S. Good luck with the interview! I’m sure whichever shoes you wear will be fancy!

@nic, I completely agree. I’m a big fan of the library now which is how I got my hands on it, but this one is totally a “to buy” book. It was fantastic and I want to have it in my collection.

I LOVED Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close. I haven’t read Everything is Illuminated yet, but I need to get on that because the movie was amazing.
Chocolate and Champagne in the morning sounds absolutely amazing. I used to be the WORST chocoholic when I worked at Godiva. It was pretttty awesome.
(And I found this on 20sb! Your blog is lovely.)
