icing on the hair, a big huge thank you and delurking orders

(Have you met my friend, Tia? Well you should know her. She has a great blog, loves RPattz almost as much as I do and now has brand new etsy shop filled with pretty things called: Icing on the Hair. I’m holding a giveaway from this lovely shop here. You should go enter. Even if you’re a dude, then you can give it to me if you win because they are just THAT good.)

Now that voting is over, I just wanted to give a big thanks to those of you who nominated me for the 20SB Bootleg Awards this year. I was up for Best Secondary Blog for Oh How Lovely Shops and all of it’s etsy loving goodness and Best Blog Title which surprised me and Best Tweeter (you can follow me here: @jamielovely).

After all the hubbub surrounding the awards, the last thing I wanted to do was campaign for votes. But that does not mean I don’t appreciate the nominations. I love everyone who gave me a nod and I love you if you voted for me. Thank you for recognizing me in our fantastic community. That means more to me than anything even if I don’t win. I’ve been with 20SB since around 100ish members and we just hit our 10,000 member and I couldn’t be more proud to be apart of it.

My whole point of this is to just say thanks and to recognize you, the readers of this silly blog for a change. Your voices, your comments and your friendship have helped me through a hell of a lot. And I really appreciate it more than anyone probably knows.

Now I’d really love it if you’d say hi. Delurk. Even you regulars. Tell me something about yourself or your blog. Favorite book or song. Why you think Lady Gaga is the fiercest bitch ever. Anything. I want to hear it and I’ll be sure to go check each and every one of you who comments out too.

You all know so much about me, now it’s time for me to learn about you.

Hi, I’m Lizzie and I drink at least 8 cups of tea a day ;) I’m British, I’m at uni, and my sweets at the moment are Jolly Ranchers… and Lady Gaga is the fiercest bitch ever.

[Reply]

Jamie Reply:

@Lizzie, I haven’t Jolly Ranchers in the longest. I’m going to have to go buy some now!

[Reply]

Hi! I’m a returning regular after losing my way for a wee bit. My blog is grey. And sometimes I suck at spelling and punctuation and sometimes I am mostly hard to read.
I DO love a bit of the gaga though, and if I had a body like hers, I’m pretty sure I’d go pantsless 90% of the time too.
I’m not sure I read enough to have a favourite book, but I will confess my undying loyalty to Jason Mraz. I’ve even met his percussionist and his best friend. They signed stuff for me.
Have a nice day!

[Reply]

Jamie Reply:

@CuppyCakes, I totally agree. I wrote some post saying that if I had an ass like her, I’d be pantsless foreverr.

[Reply]

why hello jamie.

my favorite song is ever-chaning, but i guess at the moment it’s that crazy dj earworm 2009 mix.

[Reply]

Hi!! I’ve been here reading on and off for a long time, but mostly off thanks to my google reader.

But I’ve got it figured out now so I’m here, permanently.

Lady Gaga is the fiercest bitch ever because she doesn’t wear pants. Hello, genius.

[Reply]

Jamie Reply:

@ClassyFabSarah, right? Who would have thought that’s all it would take ;)

[Reply]

Hey Jamie,

*waves*

Something about me? I also didn’t ask for votes because I also felt like it was weird to after the hubbub. And like whoever the 100 people who nominated were, I feel like they probably voted the second the nominees were out. Same wavelength! =)

[Reply]

I just had an awesome lunch. Melba toast with Philadelphia, a cheese string and a Curly Wurly. Yum.

I know you didn’t ask me what I had for lunch but I just thought I’d share and i bet you didn’t know what I’d just eaten!

[Reply]

Jamie Reply:

@Paula, I definitely didn’t. I’d like to know what Melba toast and Curly Wurly are though.

[Reply]

I’ve been awful at commenting lately but I read.

While sipping endless cups of Starbucks.

@PQ, I’m a bad commenter too. xoxo

Hola Jamie!

I’m so glad you made mention of Lady Gaga because, aside from her name (which I’m struggling to get behing) she is most certainly super-sparkly-fantastic.

About me, well I’m new to this whole blogging thing and am just learning all the ropes. But I love your blog and am amazed how many awesome people are out there in the big wide world of thew internets.

[Reply]

Jamie Reply:

@ClaireSuzanne, the name comes from the Queen song Radio Gaga. And Queen is obviously amazing as well.

And yay for new bloggers! Let me know if I can help you out with anything :)

[Reply]

ClaireSuzanne Reply:

@Jamie, Having this knowledge totally changed my opinion of her name. Thanks!

[Reply]

I have had ‘Bad Romance’ in my head all day. I like it though, so that’s ok.

I am incredibly indecisive. Currently I am debating getting an iphone. Do I need to spend an extra 15/20 quid a month? No. Do I really need one at all? No. But boy do I want one. Someone talk me in or out of it, my current contract was up months ago.

[Reply]

Jamie Reply:

@Carrie, yes actually you do. iPhones are necessary.

[Reply]

Hello hello Jamie. I’ll give you three facts: 1) It is currently snowing and I wish it would stop. 2) I’m about to go make coffee with this special spicy winter blend and it is delicious. 3) I saw a mannequin this weekend that reminded me of Lady GaGa, which is odd because it didn’t have hair, arms or legs. There’s a picture of it on my blog if this becomes a debate.

[Reply]

Jamie Reply:

@Andrea, Lady Gaga is everywhere. Even in creepy mannequins.

[Reply]

hi, i’m kori, i love your blog, and currently i’m drinking tea and watching intervention on my dvr. that really sums me up quite nicely.

[Reply]

Jamie Reply:

@Kori, can you believe I’ve never seen Intervention? Everyone always talks about it though.

Hi! I’ve been reading for a while. My blog is The Life of a Newlywife. I am in my last semester of college- WooHoo! My fave books and songs change constantly. Right now I am hungry.

[Reply]

Jamie Reply:

@Tara, congrats on the last semester. You’re almost there!

I’m hungry right now too.

[Reply]

Hi! I’ve commented a couple times before but have been a longtime reader. I just recently “revamped” my blog and gave it more of a focus, so I’m really excited to reach out and become a part of the blogging community!

Oh, and since when did Nick Jonas form a band called Nick Jonas and the Administrators?! Am I that out of the loop?

[Reply]

Jamie Reply:

@Katharine, does Nick have the most whiny, annoying voice ever or is it just me? I prefer Joe. He is way hot ;)

[Reply]

Hi, I’m Melinda and I have two blogs The Stacer Family (updates about my family) and Days Like This (stories from my life). I adore reading your blogs but I am pretty much terrible about commenting. My new years resolution for this year is to work on commenting more.

We share a love of Etsy and Lady Gaga.

[Reply]

Jamie Reply:

@Melinda, Etsy and Gaga are probably my two favorite things. We’re automatically friends now.

[Reply]

Hi Jamie! Like many others, I’m on and off here as well. I’m a North Carolina girl who’s a social worker but sold her soul to the insurance companies. Ahh, desk work. I’ve been married for almost 3 years and have a 13 year old bathmat of a dog.

And Lady Gaga is my hero. She’s afraid of nothing and doesn’t give two rats what anyone thinks!

[Reply]

Jamie Reply:

@Shannon, hi! Thanks for delurking…kinda :)

[Reply]

Hi. My name is matt. My favorite book is The Catcher in the Rye and I am a huge fan of oatmeal with blueberries.

just fyi.

[Reply]

Jamie Reply:

@Matt, I like that book but prefer apples and cinnamon oatmeal.

And I miss you. Just fyi.

[Reply]

Hiiiiii. You know me so it’s not much of delurking. But I’m Allison, a 24-year-old New Yorker, I like photography, museums and watching movies like it’s going out of style. Now your readers know me! :)

[Reply]

I read, I never comment, I almost didn’t comment this time, but then I did. That is all.

[Reply]

Jamie Reply:

@RondaMarie, I’m happy you made yourself known!

[Reply]

Delurking by request, but I tend to read only and not comment since I don’t have a blog of my own. (makes me kinda feel like a creeper)

Lady Gaga MIGHT prove her fierceness if this rumoured duet with Boy George happens.

I love too many books to pick a favourite but Gone With the Wind is way up there.

[Reply]

Jamie Reply:

@Heather, no way. You don’t have to have a blog to comment. I’m glad you did :)

[Reply]

I’ve always wanted to do a de-lurking thing. I am curious to say the least.

Yours seem very normal though! *waves to jamieann’s delurkers*

[Reply]

Hi Jamie!

I read often and comment rarely. I’m 24 and I live in the great state of Ohio.

I love Jen Lancaster’s books and I know Lady Gaga’s “Bad Romance” choreography by heart. :)

[Reply]

Jamie Reply:

@KathrynwithaY, I need to learn that. I’ll probably end up hurting myself while trying though.

[Reply]

Hello! You have such a pretty blog!

[Reply]

Jamie Reply:

@Angela, thank you :)

[Reply]

Semi-delurking to say I don’t comment as often as I’d like. And also I keep hearing all about the this so-called ‘hubbub’ surrounding the nominations but I didn’t see the ‘hubbub’ anywhere. Now I feel like I’m not part of the cool kids. :)

[Reply]

Jamie Reply:

@Hope, you’ll always be a cool kid. xoxo

[Reply]

hey Jamie!

I think my favorite song of the moment is (again) “Violet Eyes” by My Gold Mask.

[Reply]

I’m delurking from my second blog! I know I always comment and leave shenaniganist as my link but I just started a style blog in December so come check it out!

[Reply]

Well, I’m totally not a lurker, but thought I’d say hi anyway…

HI!

[Reply]

hi jamie! :) i’m rachel and i love your face.

i adore the food network more than most things in life and tell myself i’m the next rachael ray. i can’t stand lady gaga or twilight (disown me now), chicago is one of my favorite cities to visit (did i win you back with that?), my favorite song ever is “hotel california” by the eagles and i eat like a seven year old (chicken fingers FTW!).

[Reply]

Jamie Reply:

@rachel, we need to talk about this gaga and twilight hate. but maybe we can do it over chicken fingers and i love that you love the eagles too. love youuuu

[Reply]

Hey, hey! My name is Ashley. I more of a twitter follower, but one of my goals for 2010 is to get more involved in the blogging community, so I am being much better about my Reader. Although, between you & me that “Mark all as Read” button is so nice sometimes.

Anywho, I love your blog and Lovely Shops. :)

[Reply]

Jamie Reply:

@Ashley, the Mark All As Read has saved my slacker butt on many occasions :)

[Reply]

I have been reading your blog for a while…hate lady gaga…love twilight…LOVE your blog! just started following you on twitter too! I’m a serious lurker so now you know :)

[Reply]

Jamie Reply:

@tillie, it makes me sad anyone hates Gaga but at least you love Twilight or we couldn’t be friends ;)

[Reply]

I’ve been following you on twitter and have no idea how that happened! I catch your blog when you post them on twitter and have been reading for a couple months. So fun!

[Reply]

Jamie Reply:

@Allyson, I found you! I was excited because you teach knitting classes :)

[Reply]

Hi! I started reading because of Tia and the giveaway. I think I’ll continue reading and following you on Twitter because I like you (in a totally platonic way).
I’m a 30-something Mom of 2, and I don’t blog too often cuz I have to take care of them. I might be boring to you, cuz when I DO blog it is about laundry, cooking and kid stuff, most of the time. So if you don’t stop by, I won’t blame you.
Not so sure about Lady Gaga (I’m old), don’t have a fave book, but Jonathan Tropper is my current obession, and since I’m from Utah, I’d love to know what a Curly Wurly is that Paula had for lunch.

[Reply]

Jamie Reply:

@Anjie B., you will actually be surprised to know I have quite a few mom blogs in my reader. I will definitely be stopping in :)

[Reply]

You know me! HIIII!

[Reply]

Jamie Reply:

@Amy — Just A Titch, hiiiiii!

I’m Mel. I met you at the Energizer party at BlogHer and have been reading your blog ever since. I’m 30 and I work at an electronics store doing merchandising and generally hiding from the customers in the back by doing as much prep work in the back as possible. :)

[Reply]

Jamie Reply:

@Mel, I use to do a lot of hiding when I worked retail too :)

[Reply]

Wooo! Crossing my fingers for a win for you!

**steps out from behind your living room curtains**

Hi. I promise I’m not stalking you, I just like living room curtains.

I just made the biggest decision of my life to move thousands of miles away from my friends and family in order to finally “start” my life.

I <3 your blog.

[Reply]

Jamie Reply:

@T, good luck! That is so incredibly exciting!

[Reply]

I’m a bit of a lurker who occasionally comments :) Love your blog though.

Something about me: I’m currently trying to plan a 3-week excursion to Europe, balance two part-time jobs, blogging and going to school full-time. I’m finished my degree in April and I can’t friggin wait! Haha

Have a great day :D

[Reply]

Jamie Reply:

@Amber from Girl with the Red Hair, whoa busy girl! Take me with you on your Europe trip please :)

[Reply]

I’m such a bad blog reader, I always forget to jump out of my reader and leave some loving!

I’m Amanda, I love Rob Patz, but I’m 100% Team Jacob! :) Lady Gaga is awesome-sauce, and I was convinced that I saw her one night when I was out in Hollywood. It wasn’t her, though. Bummer.

[Reply]

Jamie Reply:

@Amanda, I’m Team Jacob’s Abs. ;)

[Reply]

Hi! I’ve commented irregularly here before, but I figured I’d better “delurk” just in case ;) .

I officially booked my flights for Bloggers in Sin City today and I am so psyched to meet so many of you fabulous 20SB bloggers :) .

[Reply]

Jamie Reply:

@Mary, yay! I can’t wait to meet you :)

[Reply]

I’ve been reading you for a while, and I believe you used to read my blog. But as for something about me that you might appreciate: I also love Lady Gaga. And Miley Cyrus’s “Party in the USA” (no so sure if you share that sentiment) And cupcakes – I will run a bitch over to snatch one up. And Marc Jacobs bags. And I could go on and on, but I won’t. :) I voted for you in the 20sb Bootleggers. I always read – even though I may not always comment ;)

[Reply]

Jamie Reply:

@chasingparadise, I still read when I can. I’m a crappy commenter. I’m sorry! :(

[Reply]

I’m delurking! I didn’t vote for you, so don’t thank me…I just discovered your blog today through WeFollow (imagine that, I’m not a spammer either!) Anyway, I hope to read more of your blog – it’s pretty pink!

I’m Alissa – I run The Corporate Chick blog. I talk about the Corporate life whatever other crap comes out as word vomit on my blog.

[Reply]

Jamie Reply:

@Alissa, thanks for stopping by!

[Reply]

I’m a regular.

My favorite book is currently anything with Eric (from Charlaine Harris’ series) because, well, I love him.

And in case you wanted to know, I voted for you :)

[Reply]

Jamie Reply:

@Nora, you are a regular and I love you. And I love Eric. She needs to hurry up and come out with the next one so I can get my Eric fix!

[Reply]

I’m glad lots of people are commenting. I love finding new blogs to read…which is how I found yours!

About me: I love to travel. For the past three years I’ve gone to Europe over the summer. But, I have to stick around NJ this summer in order to keep my benefits at work…which is super sad. But, I’m planning a big trip to Spain and France, hopefully for summer 2011.

[Reply]

Jamie Reply:

@Rachael, how exciting! Both of those are on my places to visit!

[Reply]

I’m Stephanie. I follow you on Twitter and click through occasionally to your blog. I don’t know why I keep forgetting to add it to my Google Reader, but I’m doing so now!

[Reply]

Jamie Reply:

@stephanie, thanks for stopping by :)

[Reply]

Hi there — this is my first ever “delurking.” I’m a Chicagoan by birth, a Montanan in my mind, and currently living in Indiana (though I vow never to be a “Hoosier”).

My favorite book is definitely “Pride and Prejudice,” though “On Beauty” by Zadie Smith rocked my world too.

I’m in grad school right now, and your blog is a *lovely* mental vacation for me.

[Reply]

Jamie Reply:

@CEH, thanks :)

Where in Indiana are you? I’m right on the border of Chicago and Indiana!

[Reply]

I love the call to delurk and wish some of my own lurkers would say “hi.” Was just talking to Nilsa at SoMi about that actually.

So, I too follow you on twitter and find you vastly (always wanted to say “vastly”) entertaining. :) And yes, Oh, How Lovely! is a kick ass blog title.

My delurk comment? My coworkers and I are currently debating what a reality TV show about us would be named. Gettin’ lively. LIVELY! One coworker has resorted to just making sound effects so…

[Reply]

Jamie Reply:

@nic, thanks!

I think there should be a blogging reality show. How funny would that be? Well except I wouldn’t be in it because I hate the camera haha

[Reply]

Hi! I read you all the time but I became a really spotty bloggerand commenter in the second half of 2009. I’m trying to turn that around for 2010. My favorite book is Gone With the Wind… but I seriously read EVERYTHING so I could easily list 50 or 100 “favorite” books! I’m obsessed with bad reality TV and also Law & Order SVU. And I’m trying hard to become Someone Who Cooks… we’ll see how that goes!

[Reply]

Jamie Reply:

@Kimmers, Gone With the Wind is on my to read list. I’d love if you shared some more favorites!

[Reply]

I’m starting school today!

There’s my something.

[Reply]

Jamie Reply:

@Kim, I hope your first week went well!

[Reply]

i like making videos when i’m drunk and there’s a bag on my head. wait you already knew that.

[Reply]

I’m somewhere in between lurker and regular. I think. Anyway, I believe that there is no need to explain why Lady Gaga is the fiercest bitch ever. She just IS.

And speaking of Lady Gaga, my favorite song of the moment is ‘Bad Romance.’ I have yet to get sick of it, and I am THISCLOSE to spending an afternoon learning the choreography from the video.

[Reply]

Jamie Reply:

@Cait, when you plan on doing that, let me know. I would like to learn it too :)

[Reply]

just a regular here and your (now) non-lurkers are pretty cool. I wanted to do a delurk day type of thing on my blog but I’m a little afraid of what the response may be.

why? I don’t know.

anyway, some facts about moi: I’m now a member of teamgaga (seriously, I love “bad romance” in a passionate way), my favorite color (at the moment) is green, I’m entirely too fickle for my own good, and I am currently reading ‘Official Book Club Selection’ by Chicago’s own Kathy Griffin.

[Reply]

Ok, here I am delurking! At the start of NaBloPoMo in November (which was an EPIC FAIL for me) I did this photo post of stuff about me. You can check it out here http://realworldgirl.blogspot.com/2009/11/i-am.html and learn a lot about me really quick.

I know I don’t click out of my reader often enough to stop and leave comments..I’m a bad blog follower that way. But I do read every post..every day.

And I enjoy having you as my FB friend. I think that if we didn’t live on either side of this country we would be great friends.

[Reply]

Jamie Reply:

@Just Jinny, I completely agree, we would be great friends.

And my favorite comment ever from you was when you told me you had a dream about me and Mr. Jay from ANTM hahah

[Reply]

Hi Jamie, congrats on your nominations. There is a burrito joint in Portland, a couple blocks from my apartment, that serves absolutely fantastic late night burritos. This place (Santeria) is connected to a strip club (Mary’s) and is owned and largely operated by a former exotic dancer. Her name is Becca. Just so you know.

[Reply]

Jamie Reply:

@Sean, this is good to know. I expect that if I come to Portland in the future, you will take me there.

No, but seriously, I do want to visit Portland.

[Reply]

Hi Jamie! I’ve been reading you for over a year now, though I’ve switched blogs a few times. We’re also Facebook friends. Hiii! My favorite Lady GaGa song is Speechless. I have two dogs. And an insatiable urge for anything animal print or purple. (Totally agree on the purple purse. Fierce.)

[Reply]

Jamie Reply:

@Erin, purple! Love it :)

[Reply]

Well…I defintely am a lurker. I read your blog a little before, but since I met you at Erin’s awesome Murder Mystery Party…I have become a regular reader, but nervous commenter! And I am a freak about grammar. But that doesn’t mean mine is always perfect.

[Reply]

Jamie Reply:

@Stephanie, I’m the same way about grammar. I tend to type too fast and then find my mistakes way later hahah :)

[Reply]

I totally comment, so I’m not a lurker, right? I just found you recently. Completely normal here. *twitch twitch*

I’m an artist that loves to write, and I think I will one day communicate myself to death. ^_^

[Reply]

Congratulations! I have de-lurked before, but ya know, once more can’t hurt.

Things to know about my blog… It’s always random. It’s usually funny. I want to write a book and use my blog as a way to mentally crap out ideas. (lovely mental image no?)

As for me, I’m a fairly simple midwesterner who has lived all over the country. North, south, east and really really west. If I didn’t love my family so much I would live in Italy, because the whole eating and late afternoon nap thing really intrigues me. I have a love affair going on with coffee and write for Examiner.com about it. (Coincidentally, it’s a Chicago thing, fancy that!) My favorite city is Chicago, second is Seattle, thank God I live close to Chicago, I’d go insane without a good dose of smog air and great food. Also, sidewalks.

I can be quite verbose. (I’m sure you’ve gathered…)

Congrats on the noms! You deserve it!

[Reply]

Another delurker! I found your blog through 20sb and I love it.

I’m originally from New York City but I prefer living in the Midwest(Chicago). My little blog is all about my design obsessions and other random things about my life.

[Reply]

Jamie Reply:

@Maris, yay Chicago! Thanks for delurking. I always love meeting fellow Chicago ladies :)

[Reply]

hey jamie! i’ve been following your blog for a while and just wanted to say hello! i like cross-stitching and i chronicle my craft projects on my blog: http://saltyoat.blogspot.com.

I wish I could do it!

[Reply]

What’s so amazing about Lady Gaga (I took your question seriously) is that she has the amazing ability to eventually win everyone over. At first, I had no interest, but now I spend about half of my waking hours watching her videos on YouTube. She’s magic.

[Reply]

Jamie Reply:

@Ashley, YES. This is exactly it.

[Reply]

I’ve been reading you for years. You know that. I know that. And this point you’re not a blogger, you’re a friend. And thanks for that.

[Reply]

Jamie Reply:

@Meghan, back at you lady. Now make sure you’re in Vegas so we can consummate our friendship with tequila.

[Reply]

Hi!! I’m Margarita, I’ve been reading your blog for like a year now and I especially love your post about your mom. Wait, this is all about you….

I have a daughter, I bake cupcakes, I love to eat, I live in Vancouver and I’m getting used to the rain and I saw Lady Gaga live in Toronto in a nightclub the year before her world tour and she fell down twice cus she was so high and only sang 1.5 songs.

But the gays still adored her~!

[Reply]

Jamie Reply:

@Margarita, I wish I could try some of your cupcakes. When you figure out how to ship, I would love to try them ;)

[Reply]

I’ve been reading/commenting for at least a year, but the commenting has been random. I also follow your tweets and we are FB friends. And I voted for you too! Let’s see. To tell you a little about me, fuck is my favorite word, I love RoPattz, I think Lady Gaga is ridonk fierce, Friends is awesome, I take regular trips to Chicago (only 4 hours away!), and I am as random as they come. Good luck with the 20SB awards!

[Reply]

Jamie Reply:

@Jen, you should hit me up on facebook when you come to Chicago. We should get coffee/tea or something :)

[Reply]

*delurking*
Hi! I love Where the Sidewalk Ends and Slaughterhouse 5, anything by Donny Hathaway, OutKast and Esthero, and I’m THE ONE girl who wants nothing to do with Gaga. No love lost though. I know I’m in the minority. :-)
Love the blog.
*back to lurking*

[Reply]

Jamie Reply:

@Coop, great book choices! I’m actually planning on rereading Slaughterhouse 5 soon :)

[Reply]

I have decided to delurk. I am Jen and I read the blog on my Google reader. I barely know Lady Gaga. If it wasn’t for SNL, I wouldn’t. I know, I live under a rock.

[Reply]

Jamie Reply:

@Jen, everyone should know Lady Gaga! (sorry I’m kind of obsessed if you couldn’t tell hahah)

[Reply]

Hi Jamie -

I’m Ashley. I love to travel and I’m a vegetarian. I’m sarcastic, but ever-so-caring. And generally antisocial.

Congrats on all the nominations as well!

Hi, I’m guilty of lurking. I’m kim @ http://kmeadrandomrants.blogspot.com/
I live near Boston, MA and work for a company that makes LOTS of coffee and donuts. I cannot get enough of How I met Your mother (NPH!), and Hair (Gavin Creel is my gay broadway boyfriend – I wish). Also – I truly believe that having a dog will make my life complete. For now, I will settle with loving boyfriend’s dog.

[Reply]

Jamie Reply:

@kim, nice to meet you! My puppy definitely completes my life. Good thing you have boyfriend’s dog :)

[Reply]

Dude, congrats on the noms! This is only a partial delurk, as I only found out about your blog and added you to my googs reader after 20SB noms came out (I’m not as involved with 20SB as I’d like). Delurk deets: my blog is a self-improvement quest to do something uncharacteristic every day; sushi seriously squicks me out; I found out moments ago that I just successfully match-made two of my best friends in my adopted home city. Woohoo!

[Reply]

Jamie Reply:

@That Kind of Girl, thanks! And I’m so happy to see you partially delurk :)

How exciting about your two best friends! Love that!

@Jane, I like puppies too. But I think I prefer fairies to unicorns :P

Wow Jamie you have a ton of lurkers!
Something about me: I prefer tea over coffee. My fave color is blue and I can’t stop listening to Lady Gaga’s Bad Romance. She totally rocks the weird like no one else.

@E.P., I will have to get really drunk to karaoke. I’m not much of a singer or showgirl haha

Hi! I’m Mandy, from Fort McMurray, Alberta, aka home of the oilsands and long, cold winters. I “found” your blog through the 20sb Bootlegger Awards, and have followed since.

@Mandy, hi! Thanks for stopping by and delurking. I’m totally going to go google what oilsands are haha

I’m always scared to ask people to de-lurk on my blog in case no one does. So props to you for that.

Also, all I read are romance novels and Twitter feeds. I think my brain has shrunk. I can hear it hit the sides of my skull. I fill up that space with whiskey and soda.
