icing on the hair, a big huge thank you and delurking orders

(Have you met my friend, Tia? Well you should know her. She has a great blog, loves RPattz almost as much as I do and now has brand new etsy shop filled with pretty things called: Icing on the Hair. I’m holding a giveaway from this lovely shop here. You should go enter. Even if you’re a dude, then you can give it to me if you win because they are just THAT good.)

Now that voting is over, I just wanted to give a big thanks to those of you who nominated me for the 20SB Bootleg Awards this year. I was up for Best Secondary Blog for Oh How Lovely Shops and all of it’s etsy loving goodness and Best Blog Title which surprised me and Best Tweeter (you can follow me here: @jamielovely).

After all the hubbub surrounding the awards, the last thing I wanted to do was campaign for votes. But that does not mean I don’t appreciate the nominations. I love everyone who gave me a nod and I love you if you voted for me. Thank you for recognizing me in our fantastic community. That means more to me than anything even if I don’t win. I’ve been with 20SB since around 100ish members and we just hit our 10,000 member and I couldn’t be more proud to be apart of it.

My whole point of this is to just say thanks and to recognize you, the readers of this silly blog for a change. Your voices, your comments and your friendship have helped me through a hell of a lot. And I really appreciate it more than anyone probably knows.

Now I’d really love it if you’d say hi. Delurk. Even you regulars. Tell me something about yourself or your blog. Favorite book or song. Why you think Lady Gaga is the fiercest bitch ever. Anything. I want to hear it and I’ll be sure to go check each and every one of you who comments out too.

Hi! I’m a returning regular after losing my way for a wee bit. My blog is grey. And sometimes I suck at spelling and punctuation and sometimes I am mostly hard to read.
I DO love a bit of the gaga though, and if I had a body like hers, I’m pretty sure I’d go pantsless 90% of the time too.
I’m not sure I read enough to have a favourite book, but I will confess my undying loyalty to Jason Mraz. I’ve even met his percussionist and his best friend. They signed stuff for me.

Something about me? I also didn’t ask for votes because I also felt like it was weird to after the hubbub. And like whoever the 100 people who nominated were, I feel like they probably voted the second the nominees were out. Same wavelength! =)

I just had an awesome lunch. Melba toast with Philadelphia, a cheese string and a Curly Wurly. Yum.

I have had ‘Bad Romance’ in my head all day. I like it though, so that’s ok.

I am incredibly indecisive. Currently I am debating getting an iphone. Do I need to spend an extra 15/20 quid a month? No. Do I really need one at all? No. But boy do I want one. Someone talk me in or out of it, my current contract was up months ago.

I’ll give you three facts: 1) It is currently snowing and I wish it would stop. 2) I’m about to go make coffee with this special spicy winter blend and it is delicious. 3) I saw a mannequin this weekend that reminded me of Lady GaGa, which is odd because it didn’t have hair, arms or legs. There’s a picture of it on my blog if this becomes a debate.

Hi! I read you all the time but I became a really spotty bloggerand commenter in the second half of 2009. I’m trying to turn that around for 2010. My favorite book is Gone With the Wind… but I seriously read EVERYTHING so I could easily list 50 or 100 “favorite” books! I’m obsessed with bad reality TV and also Law & Order SVU. just a regular here and your (now) non-lurkers are pretty cool. I wanted to do a delurk day type of thing on my blog but I’m a little afraid of what the response may be.

anyway, some facts about moi: I’m now a member of teamgaga (seriously, I love “bad romance” in a passionate way), my favorite color (at the moment) is green, I’m entirely too fickle for my own good, and I am currently reading ‘Official Book Club Selection’ by Chicago’s own Kathy Griffin.

I’m an artist that loves to write, and I think I will one day communicate myself to death. ^_^

Congratulations! I have de-lurked before, but ya know, once more can’t hurt.

Things to know about my blog… It’s always random. It’s usually funny. I want to write a book and use my blog as a way to mentally crap out ideas. (lovely mental image no?)

As for me, I’m a fairly simple midwesterner who has lived all over the country. North, south, east and really really west. If I didn’t love my family so much I would live in Italy, because the whole eating and late afternoon nap thing really intrigues me. I have a love affair going on with coffee and write for Examiner.com about it. (Coincidentally, it’s a Chicago thing, fancy that!) My favorite city is Chicago, second is Seattle, thank God I live close to Chicago, I’d go insane without a good dose of smog air and great food. Also, sidewalks.

I can be quite verbose. (I’m sure you’ve gathered…)

I live near Boston, MA and work for a company that makes LOTS of coffee and donuts. I cannot get enough of How I met Your mother (NPH!), and Hair (Gavin Creel is my gay broadway boyfriend – I wish). Also – I truly believe that having a dog will make my life complete. For now, I will settle with loving boyfriend’s dog.

Dude, congrats on the noms! This is only a partial delurk, as I only found out about your blog and added you to my googs reader after 20SB noms came out (I’m not as involved with 20SB as I’d like). Delurk deets: my blog is a self-improvement quest to do something uncharacteristic every day; sushi seriously squicks me out; I found out moments ago that I just successfully match-made two of my best friends in my adopted home city. I’m always scared to ask people to de-lurk on my blog in case no one does. So props to you for that.

Also, all I read are romance novels and Twitter feeds. I think my brain has shrunk. I can hear it hit the sides of my skull. I fill up that space with whiskey and soda.
