All this time has given me a lot to think about. Things I want to do, be and see. Hopes and dreams. All that cheesy stuff. There is so much I want to do, I can only hope I get the chance to do it all.
I want to graduate. Be successful in my career. Pack a backpack and just travel the world. Win a ton of money in Vegas. Go to South America. See Machu Picchu. Learn how to cook amazing things. Write a book. Get married. See the Aztec and Mayan ruins. Be crafty. Cut my hair and donate it. Go to New York Fashion week. Go to Paris with someone I love and fall in love all over again. To teach. To learn. Meet Britney Spears. Yeah, shut up.
I want to learn yoga. A boy to write a song about me. Go on a volunteer vacation in Guatemala or Peru. Own a 1967 Ford Mustang. Move to another city. Learn how to box. Get rich and donate a ridiculous amount of money to puppies. Make people laugh. Make people think. Go to wine country. Learn to play guitar. Lke more veggies. Hug a koala bear. Jets to Brazil to get together for a reunion show and be in the front row. To inspire and be inspired. Make the best red velvet cupcakes ever.
I want to finally learn how to put eyeliner on. An occasion to buy a formal gown. To be sent flowers. Find the perfect little black dress. Be a princess. Go to Brazil. Stop biting my nails for good. Be healthy. My dad to walk me down the aisle. To be able to give him money to retire and so he can work on restoring his Mustangs. Scuba dive. Etsy to hire me. Eat lots of pasta in Italy. Swim with dolphins. Make peace with my body.
I want to be happy no matter what I do or where I am or who I am with. I want no regrets.
Now who wants to accompany me in knocking some of this out?

OMG if you figure out the eyeliner thing, please let me know. I always end up looking like a hooker.

I’ll be swimming with dolphins next month. And the eyeliner thing – I think we all have that problem. Especially liquid eye liner. I hate that stuff.

this is such a good list.
i can’t get the eyeliner thing down either! i’ve tried looking at “how-to” videos on youtube but still there’s a disconnect between my brain and hand-to-eye coordination.
oh and i would love to help you out on that being a princess thing.

This is awesome- and I think you should start on it immediately. Check out schools to figure out graduating- once you have an actual plan in mind it’s so much easier to follow through with it.
&, wow, I thought I was the only one with eyeliner problems. You’re in good company, lady!

I’ll join you. First stop, get Etsy to hire us! You could sing up to teach English in another country! I’ll email you the link. It would be a good way to check traveling off your list and it’s only $200 to get certified if you go through the program I found.

I totally want to swim with dolphins too. I want to travel, but I think that will have to be much later in life.

Sign me up for the boxing endeavor.
Machu Picchu reminds me of Sookie Stackhouse now, even though I knew about it well before I fell in with the books!
What color 1967 Mustang!?
Great list!

i AGREE WITH…sorry caps lock was on. I agree with everyone who said “What are you waiting for?”
Really. Just choose one and do it.
You can.
Even if it’s just buying some of that stupid liquid eyeliner crap and sitting in front of a mirror all night long to get it right. You should do it if you want to.

This is such a beautiful list!
Try powder eyeliner and an eyeliner brush and follow your lash line. It’s easier than using pencil or a liquid.

I started a life list on my blog also. There are so many things that seem too big to accomplish but I decided to just pick a couple of things that I can do and just start crossing them off. Like pick two to check off by New Years, and that is a start.
As for the eye liner, less is more and use a light hand. Just dot it in between your top eyelashes that is enough.

Aw, I absolutely LOVE this list!! I agree with a lot of it, I still haven’t found the perfect little black dress, I can’t put on eyeliner to save my life, I can’t wait to make it big in Vegas, and I refuse to go through life without backpacking through Europe.
xoxo

I’m on board! I’ve done some of these things… like graduate, donate my hair, buy a formal gown… but there are plenty that I have done that I would really like to do… like travel the world, learn to play the guitar and make peace with my body.
I don’t want regrets either. I always say I don’t have regrets, just life lessons. but that’s BS if I’m really honest. but in order to not have regrets, you have to do something to make sure you don’t have anything to regret. does that make sense?
anyhoo, like I said, I’m on board!
oh, and I’d LOVE to win a ton of money in Vegas. let’s go!

What a great list! I made a list of things I wanted to accomplish in my life when I was in college and I still have it folded up tucked away in a jewelry box. I look at every so often and see if I’ve done anything on there.
I personally, would totally love to learn how to play the guitar. I have it in the back of my head. I’m a teacher so I probably won’t get to it until at least next summer, but how fun would it be to find some college music major who’ll give lessons for cheap…and then to learn a song like “Leaving on a Jetplane” and play it at a campfire/bonfire…fun!
I totally believe in doing something if you really want to. There are three times in my life when I really regret not taking advantage of an opportunity to do something and it still bugs me to this day. Now, if I have a chance to do something, I totally do it. And I haven’t regretted anything since!!!!

Wow – I totally am with you on almost all of these things! I’m in the same place right now…listing out all the things I want to accomplish. Emotionally, and otherwise. Part of me wishes that I could just stop everything that is going on in my life right now, pack up and go cross some things off my own list! Especially when it comes to seeing the world and such.
Ah. If only.
Also? The koala bear thing made me giggle. I’ll hug one with you! We can make a koala bear sandwich! (Well, not the kind you eat. Obviously.)

I’m down for helping with the eyeliner (as I wear it daily), ha. Can’t help with the love part, but Paris? I’m in. Same with going to wine country.
I also want to learn to play guitar. And drums. And maybe piano. Perhaps that’s too ambitious?

Hey Jaime,
Not to say you shouldn’t make goals and try to accomplish them but if you really want to feel ultimately happy, I think it is more important to let go of our ideas about reality and our desires for particular results. Doing so leads to freedom from barriers which leads to happiness.
Some of the things you listed are great, but some are out of your control. Focus on things that will improve you and your surroundings and you will be happy!

I’m totally down with helping you on some of these things. Because they’re awesome. And because I need to write a life list of my own.
Also, I’ve always wanted a boy to write a song about me. It has never happened, and since my boy isn’t a musician/poet, it looks like it isn’t going to happen. So I will WILL it to happen for you. That’s got to work, right?
