do it for your favorite corgi

I’ve had dogs all my life. Really, ever since I can remember. We had my Leo dog (the greatest mutt ever), my Princess (who was my shadow 13 years), my dad’s dogs (including Winston/Smokey/fatboy) and now my Edie, who you all know and love. I really can’t imagine not having a dog in my life.

There are so many animals that don’t have families to love and they might never get the chance to bring that joy to someone else’s life. You might not be at the place in your life where you can adopt a dog or cat of your own or you might not want a pet but you can still help.

Who’s Your Dachshund? decided to help out 10 shelters in the US and Canada by forming Donate4Dachshunds.

Edie says every little bit helps so do it or she will NOM you to death.

We adopted our SoMi from the local anti-cruelty society. In lieu of gifts for our wedding guests, we opted to donate to two causes close to our heart, the anti-cruelty society being one of them. We continue to support them because as you said, it’s important to match up dogs with loving owners. I hope Donate 4 Dachshunds reaches its worthy goal.

I am such a sucker for charities that help out homeless pets. I can’t buy anything at Petsmart without always donating at least a dollar to their homeless animal charity at checkout. My babies mean so much to me that it breaks my heart to think of the otherones out there like them that don’t have good homes! :(

Edie is so cute!! My friend has a corgi named Kinsey (yes, as in the sex doctor…why, I don’t know) and I used to have a lab, but my apartment situation has been such that I haven’t been able to get a new pup and it makes me so sad. So if Edie wants to come nom me to death, please let her! And in the meantime, good luck with the campaign!

Gosh she’s so cute. We need a dog park date, in which I don’t bring a dog but maybe a doggie cupcake.

what an adorable picture! I am like Lauren– every time I go to Petsmart I feel like a bad person if I don’t donate the dollar they ask for for their pet charity. How can I say no to cute cuddly animals?? :)

btw, I gave you a blog award on my blog today. just wanted to send a little love your way!

happy weekend!

I’m a sucker of puppies. Since I actually never had one, and my parents would hate me to ever have one. :/
