this might be the greatest invention ever

I have this thing.

I’m cold all the time. Seriously, all the time. I always have a blanket over me – watching tv, reading, interneting. I complain to boyfriend all the time that my nose is cold and make him feel how cold it is (well, it is!) and pester him with cries of “warm my feets!” and shove my feet under his. Come winter, you will probably find me in stolen boyfriend pajama pants, tee, hoodie with hood up, socks, slippers and a blanket. If it’s extra cold, throw in some leggings up in there.

But it’s super annoying when you have a blanket and have it wrapped around you but then try to read a book or use your computer and your arms get cold. Or just have it over your lap and then the top half of you is cold.

See my predicament?

This is why I need one of these things.

A slanket! A blanket with sleeves, duh.

And obviously, I want to look as cool as those kids. Who wants to have a slanket party?! (what? Who says shit like that?) I’ll bring the hideous sunglasses!

But really, I need one of these in my life but I can’t bring myself to shell out $45 for one.

(Seriously, I want one)

ETA: Slankets for $29 at QVC. omg buy me one!

Wow! I can see myself curled up in this on the couch reading on Sunday afternoons. I wonder how it handles dog hair?

[Reply]

Did you see the bit The Soup did about these? Hilarious!

[Reply]

Did you get my email? Get the snuggie! 2 for 20 :-)

Slanket…catchy and oh so comfy.

[Reply]

Christmas is coming!! Haha I’ve seen these before and definitely wouldn’t mind one for myself! $45 is probably worth it!!

[Reply]

There was one on qvc last night, did you see it? It was cheaper than the $45.

[Reply]

Those are fantastic! I’ve never heard of them before, but whoever came up with this idea is genius! I’d like me one too.

[Reply]

Omg I need one of those too! Those would be fab. ESPECIALLY at work because right now its like negative 50 and i’m about to have to chop off my fingers due to frostbite. Ugh!

Slankets, love it!!

[Reply]

Umm, we need to be friends because I am the EXACT same way. Haha. I could totally use a slanket, but unfortunately, I don’t have $45 to spend on it, either.

[Reply]

I’ve seen those before! But what about your hands? Don’t they get cold? I guess you can’t have everything. I bet you could make one, or if you don’t sew I bet you could enlist someone to make one for you! And you could probably find a way cuter blanket with a cute pattern!

[Reply]

I think yoda started that trend.

[Reply]

i too need one of these, just ad some mittens on the ends of those sleeves and i’m set.

oh check this out they have some fun stationary on here

I, like you, am a perpetual ice cube. BF hates me at night b/c I shove my freezing feet between his nice warm legs and he always yells “what’s wrong with you?!” and never seems to take “poor circulation” as an acceptable answer. Meh.

I could get on board with these things. Hm, but are these backless though? B/c I feel like my back could be drafty whilst I am interneting and a chilly back does not for good browsing make!

[Reply]

I think this might be going on my Christmas list.

[Reply]

hahaha this is awesome. I’m ALWAYS cold too. I tend to wear a lot of layers, but that blanket thing looks SO comfy.

[Reply]

I own one of these. quite amazing.

[Reply]

Hahahahah! I am always cold as well, and that thing looks AMAZING!

[Reply]

I have one sort of like this – it is like a sleeping bag with arms. LOVE IT! I am always cold – my hubby makes fun of me and asks if I am really the un-dead since I seem to have no circulation.

[Reply]

Yeah, $45 is a lot. Maybe you can sew or clip one up like that.

[Reply]

OMG I wanted one of these for my birthday! But Eric said no because he was sure that Adley would get stuck in it and chew a hole through and waste all that money. Bahh.

[Reply]

haha these things make me laugh. i sort of want one, but sort of don’t too. we’ll see, i’m always a fan of a good blanket.

[Reply]

I just need footie pajamas! I always get so cold in the night because my pajama pant legs roll up around my knees… and I bet you can’t sleep too well in a slanket.

Still. Funnie :o )

[Reply]

Can I come to your slanket party? I totally need one of those bad boys!

[Reply]

I want a slanket or footie pajamas. End of discussion, that’s awesome.

[Reply]

OMG I’m so trying to restrain myself from ordering one of those right now!

[Reply]

Omg I don’t even CARE that I live in Cali… I want me one of those!!

[Reply]

I have been wanting a slanket for a while now! Ted thinks it’s dorky. I think he’s rude. :)

[Reply]

My friend Audra had one of those! But it was actually more like a fleece sleeping bag with holes for your feet and your hands. So it was like you were encased in a warm blanket! I’m always cold, too, and I’m covered with a blanket as I’m typing this. I should think about investing in one!

[Reply]

So I kinda read this yesterday in my reader and have been waiting until it actually existed before I could comment.
But seriously? I need one!!!! I HATE how my arms are always cold when I’m in a blanket and trying to read or use the laptop etc. etc.
Except those ones look kinda cheesy. Maybe I could get someone on etsy to crochet a wicked-cool one for me? That’d be AWESOME.

[Reply]

Dude that is hilarious. It’s like an adult-size condom. Remind me to tell you about the “boyfriend pillow.” I think you’ll love it.

[Reply]

ohhhhh, I want one too!!!!

[Reply]

omg, i have one…and its awesome.

[Reply]

B and I saw this commercial on tv the other day. We looked at each other and immediately said at the same time “I want one!”

Watch — we’ll probably give them to each other for Christmas. Most awesome invention ever!

I’ll come to your slanket party!!!!!!!!!!!!!

[Reply]

OMG…that is the coolest thing I have ever seen! I want one!!!

[Reply]

Ha ha! Those things are hilarious, yet ingenious! I’m cold all of the time too so I could definitely use one!

[Reply]

I want one of those, too. I read this post yesterday night and told my boyfriend about slankets. He told me I was crazy and then tried to fashion one out of my butter yellow egyptian cotton summer blanket. It did not work, thus proving I need one of these.

I will totally come to your slanket party. Don’t forget the bunny-head slippers — the perfect accessory to accompany hideous sunglasses.

[Reply]

I have the same exact problem and my bf HATES it when I shove my feet under him. I definitely need one. Lately I have tried the strategy of having one blanket over my legs and one over my shoulders, but still it just doesn’t work that great.

[Reply]

The slanket rocks! I have all the same too-cold problems, and yes, my nose temperature can plummet into the single digits!

[Reply]

Oooh i like this.

given that i live in scotland, i soooo have the problem that im always closed. when im at home i tend to wear a dressing gown over my clothes about nine months of each year to keep myself warm. this looks like a good invention . . .

[Reply]

er – i meant COLD, not CLOSED. sorry, i am drunk!!!

[Reply]

i need one. im freezing right now, at work, but it might be a spec odd to bust this cozy number out at work, you think?

[Reply]

I think that you need to have one of these.
