this is so great.

anyway my url is siameseviking.blogspot its the best way to describe me being half Thai half Norwegian and I take great pride in it and because of this mix it affects my life allot.

the tambourine queen. I love music more than anything and tambourine is my favorite instrument. I feel i gives the extra spice to a song, I always like being the girl on the tambourine its so hippie, rock, disco all at the same time.

When I was little, my mom used to call me amy purple pink and orange. However, she has no memory of why she used to call me that. Bummer, I wish I had the story behind it.

I use the name amy purple not as a shortened version of that actually. When I first met one of my longtime friends, he asked me what my last name was. When I pronounced my maiden name to him, he thought I said Purple. To this day, he calls me amy purple and I kinda dig it.

These are fun to read! My story is not that interesting… I was fifteen and I’d started a blog and I needed something to call it. Something self-deprecating and…alliterative? Why not? So, Confessions of a Chronic Dork. I’m not entirely sure I still like it, but I’m also a creature of habit.

Someday I would like to start a new blog, mostly because the only thing more painful than reading what I wrote as a fifteen-year-old is knowing that other people can read what I wrote as a fifteen-year-old. I would not mind burying those archives and moving to a bright new spot on the Internet. To that end, I purchased the domain name I’m currently using, because Miss OJ (or just OJ) was what people called me in high school. So my next title will be something about juice, I guess.

I’m so behind on the blog world with moving! I’m so glad I finally got to this though. So interesting…

Well, I started my blog while I was interning in LA, where a movie or TV show being worked on, rewritten, revised, and basically created is labeled as being “In Development.” I thought that was a nice parallel to my life at this point, thus “Life in Development.”

well, emrlds came from my obsession back in the day to move to seattle – the emerald city.
’she’s only waiting on the next best thing’ was a line from a song that just fit. you know when you hear it and it feels right? that was it. =)
