Interrupting BlogHer recap week with some favorite things. As most of you know, I use to recap Project Runway every week and I also have been doing weekly features of Etsy shops.
What happens when both worlds collide?
While I am still not sure how I feel about this season of Project Runway, I can’t help but think this is cool. Two of this seasons designers have shops on Etsy!

Kelli Martin, who won last weeks challenge with a dress made of vaccuum bags and coffee filters splattered with dye and a little bleach, has an Etsy shop called Antilabel. There is only one item currently in shop.

Then there is LeAnne Marshall whose etsy shop, Leanimal, seems to be quite successful. She has gorgeous dressed and jackets that are to die for. I would die to get my hands on one of her coats.
I think it’s really awesome that these girls decided to try Etsy as a way to get their stuff out there and now they are on Project Runway. How about that?

I totally have the shirt that the first lady is wearing… cause I’m fashionable like that.

very cool – thanks for the links! wish they had more stuff in their shops, but they’re probably pretty busy now.

I share your affinity for PR and Etsy, and have been meaning to tell you that your Etsy reviews are such a great idea, and have resulted in many an item purchased by this girl. (Huzzah!) Not that I ever need further excuse to spend countless hours scouring Etsy stores, but, still, I’m thankful for further excuses.
(I missed! last week’s Project Runway premier because I was on my way to San Francisco. Totally bummed, but hoping they replay it again before the next episode. I’m also bummed I didn’t get to meet! you while I was there. Next year I’m cloning myself, to give myself more time to socialize.)

That’s really neat! It shows that any designer on there can make a name for themselves.

I’m feeling a little ambivalent about PR this season…I’m going to hang in there and hope that it gets better but the premier didn’t do much for me.

Huh. That’s really cool. I wonder how them having etsy shops works with them being on PR. And I hope this season turns out to be a good one…
