Alright so last night I closed comments to my Pay It Forward contest entry and put all your comments in to a randomizer. All freaking 84 of you! I wish I could give everyone something but you would surely break my poor bank account.
And the winners are…
Drumroll, please!
Many of you were around to witness how out of control Jenn and I on Twitter Saturday night. We were furiously TwitterBerrying and breaking out in fits of giggles…and the drinks didn’t even start coming yet. Oh, but when they did, it was magical. Peach raspberry something with alcohol something or what I call Heaven In a Glass and then a Berry Berry Good which was duh, berry berry good with some Jerk Chicken Pasta. Oh man, pretty sure I will live in Bahama Breeze, not to mention I could wear sweet Hawaiian (Bahamaian?) print shirts and bathe in fruity deliciousness. Of course, with their handy mouth wash dispensers, I would be set for life.
I managed to talk Jenn into buying an adorable bag BUT it had a matching wallet and I totally justified her purchase for her. Do not go shopping with me. I’m the worst person to go shopping with and will make you leave with anything you so happen to glance at. I can justify purchases no matter what. Is there a career for that? Because I would be AWESOME at it. Jamie the Justifier. Has a nice ring to it, don’t you think?
We breezed through Woodfield and getting a seriously work out while doing so, (seriously, ramps and inclines everywhere!), poking shower gel jelly molds in Lush, whispering sweet nothings at gorgeous dresses in Anthropologie and looking longingly at Nordstrom’s in the process. We rounded out the night with The Holy Land aka Borders. Could you really ask for a better day? Well, yes, we wouldn’t have hit traffic on the way home at 11PM but whatever, still fabulous.
Point of this post?
Jenn and I are awesome.
Ridiculously. Awesome
P.S. Renee, come hang out with us!

I’m currently working on paying off three trips, one to Florida in June, one to San Francisco for BlogHer and now Las Vegas in October. I really need to pick up a part time job, as in I might bite the bullet and do retail again.
Living the Good Life and working as a part time nanny doesn’t go hand in hand. How do I deal with this?
Shopping, obviously.
But seriously, I’ve been looking for an every day bag to use for work and and just running around. I mean, really, I can wear my MJ out, he doesn’t deserve that. I also wanted an bag that goes across the body. I decided Etsy would be the perfect spot to look considering my new found obsession with it. So I searched and searched until I came across this lovely little shop.
Infusion
Here you will find a fine infusion of organic and natural fibers such as hemp, linen, cotton, silk, wool, buckwheat and kapok. We appreciate materials the body can relate to. We hope you enjoy too.
I ordered this bag on Tuesday and got it on Thursday. It’s perfect from the size down to the little details make the bag so much better. Abby was super sweet and even threw in this little tiny pillow filled with herbs. It smells amazing!

Definitely go give Infusion a look. There are all kinds of wonderful bags, pillows and more.
Etsy finds may be a new thing around here. I’ve found so many awesome shops on Etsy so I think it would be kind of cool to put them up every now and then. I’ve already ordered from 5 shops in the past week! Also, no one is paying me or giving me stuff to do this. I just thought it would be fun.

Last week I received a package in the mail from the lovely Carrie Lea. Inside was a post card, super cute little magnets, some post its, a lip gloss, some gum and a candy bar from the wrong team in Chicago. haha, I almost took the candy bar out because I didn’t want to tarnish my image as a Sox fan! Okay, I wouldn’t do that but still.
What did I do to deserve such a lovely present?
I was on of the winners of her Pay It Forward giveaway contest thingy and now it is my turn. So dear freaders, should you want an amazingly fabulous fantastic super package from me in your mailbox, I suggest you enter. I know you bitches love free stuff too!
The only thing is, you have to pay it forward yourself once you get your package. Leave a comment. Lurkers, come out, come out where ever you are. You can play too. Three of you will win.
I will close comments Monday night. Get your entries in before then!
READY.
SET.
GO.

After that awful waste of time recap episode last week, we are back! This week Paulina comes to have a heart to heart with the girls about personality and being interviewed and blah blah. Their challenge was to shine on the red carpet and at a 7UP event. Does anyone drink 7UP, unless it is being mixed in something or if their tummy hurts? Seriously.
I love my favorite outfit – American Apparel triblend deep v’s, skinny jeans and black flats. When my hair sits just so and completes my perfect outfit with perfect hair. I love hot chocolate on a cold day. I love sitting Borders for hours reading books in a comfy chair. I love my diamond earrings, even if they are teeny tiny.
I love days when I don’t feel huge and feel confident that I look good. I love when I look in the mirror or step on the scale and feel okay. I love having cuddling up under a blanket all the time, even if it’s summer.
I love cuddling up and watching movies. I love having my hair played with. Speaking words and phrases that make no sense to anyone else. Walking down the street, fingers intertwined. I love moments when I feel that there is nowhere else I’d rather be.
I love puppy kisses and puppy breath. I love little paws bounding to the the door when I walk in waiting to pounce on me as soon as I bend down to say hi. There is no better greeting in the world – doggy drool and all.
I love coming home after a long day of work and hopping in my bed. Going to sleep early and waking up feeling ready to take on the day. I love staying in bed all day with good book and my laptop. I love thunderstorms and hearing the pitter pat of rain on my window. I love chocolate chip and walnut cookies.
I love the days in spring where Chicago suddenly comes alive after a long, frigid winter. I love walking around downtown at night. I love driving up Lake Shore Drive and seeing the skyline come into view all lit up. I love night games at The Cell.
I love getting mail. Packages and handwritten letters. I love ordering myself things and still get excited opening it, even though I already know what it is. I love journaling in my little moleskine. I love brand new pens and fresh pages.
I love playing “if I had a million dollars” and making wish lists. I love all the things that go on my wish lists, Zac Posen, Miu Miu, Chloe, Luella, a little Marc Jacobs and an LV Damier Azur Speedy.
I love when the lights go down at the theater and when previews start, they might be the best part of the movie. I love soft pretzels and cheese. I love Jets to Brazil – it’s the perfect driving music. I love Grey’s Anatomy, even though it’s gone progressively downhill.
I love photo booth pictures. I love holding on to little things, like ticket stubs to bring back moments in time. I love pinkish purple stargazer lilies and pink tulips. I love good morning text messages. I love cheesy reality television shows.
I love how a sunny day always manages to put me in a good mood. I love spending the day outside. I love planning vacations. The magic of Disney World. The tacky, but amazingness of Las Vegas. I love ice cream sundaes and how they can always make everything better.
I love the color burgundy and all it’s shades. I love pesto sauce and pasta. I love Etsy and looking for new things to buy. I love spoiling my puppy rotten. I love going out to dinner and more likely then not, ending up at Hooters. I love cheese fries.
I love dreaming about the future, all the things I will do and have. I love that I have hope, no matter what.
*From She Likes Purple: I challenge you to make your own list. The only catch? You can’t include a single person you know on your list. No “I love the way my husband laughs” or “I love hearing my little girl call for me.” It’ll be tough, I know. But this particular little exercise is about stripping away everyone who defines you and figuring out what you (not his partner; not their mother/daughter/sister/friend) love.
Clare has spoken.
This blog here, guys? Is about as original as Perez.
Anyway, this is the second time Clare has left me a comment. First, my blog is off center and now Clare is sticking up for little ole Pete.
First off, I made that post before Pete denied the rumor, so back up off my shit. Second, I happen to think I am much wittier than Perez and a whole lot cuter. I don’t draw coke doodles all over peoples’ noses though so I think Perez might be a little more original in that respect.
So Miss Clare, I wonder why you keep reading my off center and original as Perez blog?
Keep on movin’.
Thanks for a good giggle though.
Or not.
Maybe just taking over Gorgeous Footsteps in the Sand for Katelin today.
I’m talking about rubbing elbows with celebrities. I know you are dying to see who.
Go check out my post and leave Katelin comments to come back to.
