bits and pieces

First off, thank so much everyone for all your comments on my last post. I’m sure I will be bothering you all eventually for critiques, suggestions and editing. No, seriously, you will probably regret offering your help

As you all know, the lovely Jenn of Free and Flawed has been slaving away at putting together this delicious meet up for all us Chicago bloggy people. It just so happens that it is suppose to be Saturday! We have been hoping for some beautiful weather and crossing our fingers and toes for no rain, but it seems we have been foiled. I think rescheduling is inevitable. Should you be interested, if you have not yet commented on Jenn’s entry, what are you waiting for?!

I registered for fall classes today. I will be going Monday, Wednesday and Fridays from 8:00-2:00. Classes are Math, Psych, Ethics, Mass Communications and Speech. I’m glad I got that out of the way.

My parking ticket was for street cleaning. Street cleaning days are freaking stupid.

Lollapalooza line up was released a few days ago. Pretty sure I will be stalking Mark Ronson all weekend. Radiohead, Kanye, Brand New, Explosions in the Sky, Spank Rock, Chromeo, The Weakerthans, Santogold are just a few of the people I’m looking forward to seeing.

Edie decided she wanted to sleep with her face in the crook of my neck and shoulder while we slept last night.  My puppy is adorable.

You all need to read Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day. Some people caught the Australia reference. Gold stars for you! It’s my favorite children’s book. Although, I would love to go there. Chris said it all – koala bears!

It’s Wednesday, people! We are halfway there.

And just because I’m in the mood – here is some Justin for you.

Rock Your Body & Like I Love You

Streetcleaning? That’s BS…wasn’t it raining? Doesn’t the rain clean the streets?

i almost died when i saw the line up for lollapalooza. i’m on the fence as to whether im going or not because plane tickets are so damn expensive and besides rage against the machine, everyone i’d wanna see either 1.i’ve seen before 2. is playing at another festival im going to in san francisco. ah, if only i got paid to blog about music festivals.

p.s. if you go, you NEED to see broken social scene. i saw them at lolla a few years ago and it blew my mind.

That was one of my favorite books as a child!

Thank you for the link love. I’m really hating on Chicago weather right now.

That book used to be my favorite. My mom would call me “Alexander” whenever I was being grumpy. That would only annoy me more.

Your dog is adorable. If you ever need a dog sitter…you know who to call!

Your puppy is so cute. I really want to have her. I’m mad that Torsten doesn’t like corgis.

Also, I caught the Australia reference! But I only just read the post. Still, though. Gold star for me!

My sister and I often refer to the terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day. So sorry you were having one. I’m really glad you got registered for school, how exciting!

[Reply]

Like I Love You is my favorite JT song! Very good college memories wrapped up in that song for me:)

And a bloggy meetup. Jealous, Jamie!

I’ve thought about moving to Australia many times. Maybe we should organize a blogger move and get a moving discount of some sort?

[Reply]

Street cleaning? You can’t be serious. That is stupid.
