Those of you who have been reading my blog for awhile, know I use to push my impeccable music taste on my freaders by way of mp3. Well, remember that French music I would obsess over last year? Pretty sure that is what has been on MTV all week. During The Hills? Yup, that was my girl, Yelle.

MTV, when you decide to play music again, call me. I know what’s up.

Oh How Lovely: Setter of trends, Queen of all.

Well, Benjamin said it. There’s this new thing – muxtape.com. It’s pretty cool. You get to upload (I can’t remember how many…18?) songs and share with others. It’s brand spankin’ new. Come join! (Not affiliated with them. Just enjoying it too much.)

I KNOW! Good call. They’ve started playing Just Off Turner and I totally talked about them on my blog too.

They should pay you for that

Seriously. MTV should pay you for your awesomeness.

isn’t it so crazy how MTV actually mentions the singer and song they are playing during their reality shows (like.. in the last episode of the hills)? our culture has come a long way since the Real World Miami…

well i read your blog and I’ve been loving yelle ever since you mentioned it. Tristesse/Joie is like my most favorite song ever. C’est ma chanson favori, bien sur!

LOL I saw her on their ad spots and thought MTV was trying too hard. I find her voice annoying though. :/ But it’s cool you’re on top of the trends.

I like her music, too, for awhile now. Have you ever heard of Santogold? She’s my new favorite.

I may or may not have been watching The Hills and thinking how cute that song was. Congrats to you!

yay! I watched it last night and was going to Google today to find out who was singing the French music…and now, thank to you, I won’t have to. Whoo!

I secretly hate when that happens. It happened with Lily, Mark and Amy, although they admittedly weren’t as “obscure” as Yelle is. I love her and Keren Anne.

That song was on SATC and I FELL IN LOVE WITH IT.

MTV actually did read my blog a few years back. My senior prank wound up getting filmed for an episode of High School Stories because of my entry on my old Diaryland blog. They should so be reading your blog instead, for sure.
