Next time I decide to slack off on writing, I will know better not to do it on a Thursday after a new Project Runway. I apologize! I’m also sorry for a half ass recap. I think I’ve lost my mojo. I need to get it back!

Let’s cut to the chase. Denim. Levi’s to be specific. The challenge was to create an iconic denim look that captures the spirit of the 501 legacy. Why they had to take the designers to a warehouse across from Manhattan to pick denim, I will never know but whatever! I’m not a fan of denim really, other than my jeans and maybe a skirt occassionaly.
We hit the workroom. My first thought is – HA! Rami, denim is not very drapable! What the hell are you going to do this challenge? Then Ricky decides to tell us how he loves denim and makes some of his hideous hats out of denim. YOU WOULD, RICKY. YOU WOULD. Everyone then comes to realize what an annoying, little bitch Christian is. Jillian cries and has poor time management issues, but still ILU, Jillian. Sweet P is making a denim wedding dress. That just sounds like a mess. Victorya and Jillian are both making trenches. Jillian’s is far more well made then Victorya, but still, they Jillian just made a fabulous trench last challenge. Why try to do it again?
Runway!

From left to right:
Jillian – Ambitious and totally had potential. I don’t like light denim so I think it would have looked better in dark.
Sweet P – Its off center and it’s really making me crazy. I’m surprised the judges liked it so much. It is cute but would be better if it was lined up! Sweet P has been turning it out the past couple of episodes.
Victorya – BORINGBORINGBORING
Rami – The zippers make me think of Jeffrey’s Bryant Park collection. I think Rami’s is ugly though.
Ricky – I liked his dress. Mainly I’m loving the cute ruffle at the bottom. So cuuuute. The button details look nice as well.
Christian – I don’t like this. AT ALL. I think Christian makes the same type of shit over and over too. Example: jacket, jacket, top. Always the same style, same lines.
Chris – More boring. Give us something different for godsake.
Winner – Ricky. He bawls on the runway when they were asking questions. It was quite hilarious. Heidi was all like DUDE WTF is your problem?! Cry baby. Go make more denim hats.
Loser - Victorya. THANK GOD. She may have been the most boring designer in the history of the world. I’m so glad she went home.

I like Sweet P’s too, but I agree that Ricky’s was the best. And when I saw Victorya’s, I was like, “Oooo, So orignal. I’ve NEVER seen that before.” Definitely boring.

Queen Bee – Seriously. She sewed some shit on a jacket. Big deal. So glad she is gone.

Oh my gosh, how happy are you that Victorya got auf-ed? She was starting to drive me crazy. I thought the challenge was cool. I am usually horrified whenever I see someone wearing a denim “outfit” walking down the street, but I have to admit I’d totally wear Sweet P’s or Ricky’s.
And I liked how Heidi just said, “What’s up with you?” to Ricky, instead of asking if he was alright when he started bawling on the runway. Hahaha.

I already shared most of my thoughts…pre-mature commenting on my part.
I didn’t hate Victoria. I thought that she had more talent (in a mass appeal kind of way – not a cutting edge kind of way) than a lot of the other designers. But I didn’t love her either so I wasn’t sad that she had to go. Just weird that Ricky (who let’s admit it, mostly sucks) won and she left.
Anyone else notice how badly most of the designers dress? Ricky with his so 2004 trucker hats? Sweet P with her wanna be biker chick look? Chris with his hawaian shirts? Christian who seems to be the missing member of the flock of seagulls (a reference you are probably too young to get).

Oh how I miss having cable. Thanks for the update on what’s going on in Project Runway Land! All I really like to do is look at the finished outfits anyway.

oh…yea, I think that’s what I didn’t like about this challenge – besides jeans and the occasional jean jacket (but not together! jeans are not a suit, christian!!) I don’t like “denim” as a fabric.
But to sum up Victorya, Chris, you said it best: BORINGBORINGBORINGBORINGBORING
When will the judges figure out that Christian’s crap is all the same. I hope he’s the last contestant to get voted off, because I think that would hurt him the most. And I’m all about seeing him in PAIN.

THANKYOU! You are the first person who has noticed the zipper thing. When Tim was in the workroom giving his critique I thought, ‘nail him for stealing Jeffrey’s brilliant and better executed idea!’ and then NO ONE did! Bah!

That dress with the ruffle is adorable. But I just don’t the idea of an all denim outfit. Ugh.

God, Ricky ALWAYS. CRIES. It’s getting ridiculous. And Christian? Hate. He ALWAYS does that poufy-sleeved jacket look.
And I thought they were going to rake Sweet P over the coals with the mis-matched colors. Oh well, shows how much I know.

Wow, there is a lot of Christian hate going on. I really like Christian and think he is talented. I agree he needs to change it up a bit, but I think the potential is there for him.
I was indifferent about Victorya leaving. I think she thought she was better then she was, so she didn’t really push herself to do well in this challenge. So goodbye to her!
As for Rami, I liked him until he was mean to Sweet P last week. Not needed. She was doing a good job and he was draping away like he always does. I think Chris or Ricky will be the next to go.

I think Jillian’s horrendous light denim trench is just plain tacky. For one thing it’s LIGHT DENIM. Enough said.
The rest were kind of ok I think. But denim is so hard to pull off. I agree with u, jeans and the odd denim skirt are all one should wear in denim.

Virginia – It was about time!
Hope – I feel the same way.
Michelle – I was telling boyfriend that. They dress horribly! C’mon your a fashion designer. It’s suppose to be what you do!
Allie – Glad you kinda caught up
Heather – Thanks! She is pretty cute!
Tiff – That would be hilarious. I hope its the episode right before they pick who goes to Bryant Park!
Miriam – I wasn’t really a Jeffrey fan but that dress with the zippers was amazing!
Ashley – I loved the ruffle too!
Valerie and Michelle – I thought the same! I was really surprised they liked Sweet P’s so much.
Penelope – I’m thinking Chris. I haven’t been really impressed with anything he has done, beside the Hershey dress and the couture. I think he should have got the win instead of Christian.
Pomegranate – Agreed. All denim should be dark denim!

I actually wish that Ricky had gone home last week instead of Kit. I think kit made really cute clothes and overall, Ricky sucks. Also, I”m tired of him crying.

I loved Ricky’s dress. I was watching it with my mom and she asked me why he was crying and I told her that he cries every episode. Didn’t exactly know how to tell her why.
