Most of you missed the great blog fiasco this weekend. Okay, it really wasn’t a fiasco to anyone but me. I stupidly thought I could update Wordpress on my own, screwed it up, had to delete my whole blog, reinstalled, fortunately had a backup of all entries and comments, lost all my themes and widgets and got everything back up and running. Once I got everything back up, I realized my blog wasn’t coming up on feed readers. For some reason, they were marking all my new entries as old and dating them months back even though they were new.

All that matters is I’m up and running! Should you so choose, you can also subscribe by email now or through a reader, both options are over there on the right. ————–>

On to other matters of the non-bloggy kind. We are having some freakishly spring weather over here in Chicago for the past few days! It’s been in the 50s, kind of wet and rainy and we are having a flash flood warning until tomorrow. It’s a fabulous change from freezing, below-zero temperatures and heavy snow though. Chicago will set me straight soon enough with a drastic change that will leave me scrambling for my parka and ugly boots.

I promise, tomorrow I will have something up about my Las Vegas trip. So far all I gave you was a Coco and Ice T sighting and while I know how much everyone loves Coco, it’s just not that much of an update. I have pictures of cute, cuddly lions! Playing with each other!

This week I only work two days. I’ve worked only one day in the past two weeks with Christmas and my own vacation. It’s made me absolutely slothful. You couldn’t pay me to get out of comfy clothes and do something other than lay around. I’m trying to enjoy my days off while I have them. Next week starts two months of nonstop go go go. I’ll write more about that later though, it’s an entry all in itself.

this weather? it is making me skip and frolic EVERYWHERE. i think my boyfriend actually commented, “wow, you’ve been a lot … giddier, lately.”

i want this weather to go NOWHERE. until, you know, summer. when it’s gorgeous and sunny always.

Damsel – Yes! They were adorable and I took like 5 million pictures of them. I won’t post all 5 million though.

Isn’t it funny how a little warm weather can completely change everything? I don’t want the cold back either. Give me summer!

for once I’m thanking you for sending over the Chicago weather! I want to stomp in puddles in my wellies I love the 60 degree weather so much!

It’s been unseasonably warm in the DC area too. I mean, today I didn’t even need to bother with a coat and it’s still January!

Oklahoma has been eerily warm as well, jacket weather in January! So wonderful.

Glad you’re up and running again! We’re having the spring-like weather in VA too…high of 65 today!!! I’m thrilled

ah, the tricky weather of chicago. you know what is always super deceiving? the very random days in like march or april, where it goes from like 40s to 80s for like 2 days and right back down to 40s again after. enjoy it while it lasts!

I both hate and love this weather. It’s so wonderful now, but the rude awakening is coming by Thursday. Bah.

I know what you mean about sloth. I was only off for a week and a half, but I pretty much never left my apartment and NEVER put on real clothes. Enjoy it!

oh also….you sound like a tech genius in this post. i wouldn’t know what the hell to do.

I think we all might be having that freaky weather thing. It makes me angry b/c my closet is overflowing with clothes since I can’t put up summer clothes or winter clothes. Make up your mind Mother Nature!

Although I love the spring-like weather (we’re having it here in NYC too!), it’s all these weather changes that make me sick, I swear.

I am sorry you had bloggy trouble this weekend but am glad they are resolved….I am also glad you are enjoying your time off work – after all you will be back to it in no time!

So, my weather was probably the coldest (only made it in the high 30’s here in Minnesota) but I was THRILLED as well. I could bundle up and go for a walk. It’s fnuny how a little sunshine will give you hope that perhaps the cold weather will be done for good….yeah right.

Glad you’re up and running again. And while you had spring like weather, I was in monsoon like weather in LA, haha. Craziness.

Is the Juno soundtrack good? I loved the movie and really liked the songs that were in it, and I’m debating buying it on iTunes.

good to hear that your blog is as good as new. and even though you aren’t working much now..as soon as it picks up, you’ll be wishing it was your break again. enjoy.

Been there, done that. I constantly do something that blows up my blog, and then spend an entire day trying to salvage it.
